This year I'm determined to loose weight and actually keep off what I do lose. I did SW from home last year managed to loose 21lb but it's crept back on since the summer so it's time to start again. As I wasn't loosing weight that quickly last year I'm going to keep a diary so that

a) I have double think about everything I eat, if I'm posting here I can't be naughty

and

b) If I'm listing everything I can duplicate what I eat if I have a good week of losses or if I'm not loosing it should hopefully be easier to see why..

I have 22lbs to loose hopefully by the end of the year... slow and steady wins the race.. I'll be doing either Success Express or Red days and I've set a mini target of 7lb loss by 2nd February

SE day today, well I hope I'm doing it right...

Breakfast (followed the SE rule and actually laid the free food on my plate before cooking it to make sure in only came to 1/3)

1 Rasher of Bacon (trimmed)
Poached egg
Baked beans
Dryfried mushrooms
Tinned tomatoes

Lunch

Free soup (Carrott, Cauliflower, Brocolli and Sprouts simmered with stockcube black pepper and Salt)

Ham and chicken sliced
Poached egg
Salad leaves
2 cherry tomatoes
Cucumber
Ryvita (1/2 hex)
Cheese (hex)

Dinner will be

Chicken fillet and pan roasted potatoes with
Oven roasted Peppers, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms and I'm sure there was something else I was going to roast

Snacks

Small banana

Muller lite yoghurt not sure if its a syn one or not so calling it one syn

Cup of tea and two ryvita (hex) with laughing cow cheese triangles (hex)

Options hot chocolate banofee (3syns) small bar of green and blacks chocolate (I worked those out at 8 syns)

Drinks: water, black coffee, 1x tea (hex milk split with above triangles)

Extras, two quavers and three tortilla chips from my daughters pack... I couldn't resist



No syns as yet I'm planning a couple of hot chocolates later and a little choc maybe later as I'm going to stop eating late at night when I'd usually have my second hex's and see if that helps with my losses. All this talk of food now is making me hungry, off to find some fruit to snack on whilst I'm cooking..

Your entries are so much more detailed than mine, I think I should start detailing liquid intake as I'm definitely not drinking enough! :)
 
I have about another 28lbs I want to lose to get to size and weight I think I'll be happy with :) I'm sure we'll both get there, like you said slow and steady wins the race x

Right late today writing up so hope I can remember everything and hope I'm doing SE correctly not had time to check, been really bad spacing my meals today I wanted to get my syns spread out the same with hex's then ended up starving and using hex and syns together tonight... so much for not eating late but never mind

I was starving before breakfast so had fat free plain yoghurt with small handful of blueberries as a snack

Breakfast

mushrooms dry fried tomato sliced rasher of bacon and two slices of thin ham 2tbs baked beans free food measures out as SE rules before cooking (how sad am I lol)

Lunch

Free soup

BLT sandwich 1 Rasher of Bacon, salad leaves tomato and bread (hex) and cheese (hex)

Side salad with hard boiled egg and I slice of wafer thin ham

Dinner

Spag bol small portion of spaghetti mix of lean mince and veggie mince tinned tomatoes and mushroom

Snacks

3 Ryvita and two laughing cow lights (both hex)

Special K cracker crisps 4.5 syns

Going to have before bed Options hot chocolate (3 syns) and 15g bar Green and blacks choc (4syns) not 8 like I thought they were yay

Drinks

Hot water with lemon black coffee mug of tea after dinner ( I was craving wine but the tea did the trick) 1 litre of plain water with lemon juice

Total syns 11.5

Extras Good today just had a taste of a cheese twist then made hubs take the rest away rather than me scoff it like I would normally do...
 
Thanks hunRight day 3 intended to be a Red day but now SE, I like being able to have the mix of Red and Green and hoping seeing as the portions of free are smaller I'll loose better than on EE... It's quite easy once you get into the swing of it..Breakfast2 egg omlette filled with cherry toms and mushrooms and 1 laughing cow triangle . Not sure what went wrong but it came out like foo yung but it saved eating it with a knife and fork and it tasted okayLunchPrawn and lettuce sandwich.. 2 slices wholemeal (hex) salad leaves I tsp of light mayo (1syn) was going to have the salad off hubs lunch to go with it but he opted to just have a bowl of chips, was good and only stole half a chip (I'll polish my halo later heheStrawberry muller light dinner, home made cheese burgers,(1/2 hex) with homemade oven chips and large side salad served mine in a slice of bread (1/2 hex) and a spoonful of jack daniels baked beans (1/2 syn)Jalapino cheese bite (3 syns but yummy.and id been good on syns)SnacksBanana and fewblueberries. I was absolutely starving cooking dinnerIll have rest of my hexs befire bed and probably a choc fix of hot choc and a little dairy milkNot doing so well on the drinking front so far only had two glasses of diet cola and 1 of hot water (Countless black coffees though but I don't tend to count those as water, though I think you can.) Earl grey with lemon. Cup of tea. And 500 ml of water. Still thirsty so ill make up water shortfall before bedExtras half a.chip and one chicken crisp ;)

Day 4 Red day today... Bad day meal wise not off plan or over syns but erratic eating pattern late breakfast, no lunch (had a long phonecall with my friend before he went away for two weeks so didn't feel like eating afterwards as I was already missing him.. haha I'm such a saddo ) Anyway intended to have late lunch as was eating late for dinner but forgot all about it, had dinner but now atarving again

So hungry now going to have porridge and blueberries before bed and maybe a hot chocolate

LM sausages for dinner tonight so having a green day so that I don't have to have potatoes as my hex Looking forward to some lovely mash and a homemade yorkshire pud.... wish I could make syn free or low syn yorkies... wonder how much flour you can have for 1 syn :giggle:

Off to bed I think, headache and sore throat on and off, still have a hex a and b to use if I get hungry, and a few syns left for a hot chocolate squirty cream and marshmallows mmm

Day 6 Made today my WI day although I'd only been on the plan 5 days I'd lost 3.5lb Ive never lost that much in one go!!! Interesting to see what mmy weight is on Monday after 7 days..

Day 6 with no alcohol either nice to let the christmas excess stuff out of my system just got to watch the craving for wine which will hit again in a couple of days...

Green day today but will be naughty and tweak one of my hex's for a crusty white roll instead of a wholemeal one... decided instead of having choccie etc as a treat Once a week i'll have something I really like within reason, like a crusty cheese and onion cob that is totally of limits on the diet... thats the one thing i miss most on slimming world, everything else is work roundable but that..

Today so far Ate brunch and starving again already definately need to stop that and get into the habit of eating breakfast

Quorn bacon style rashers (after the first couple of mouthfuls they are actually nice, smell horrible when you first cook them then suddenly smell like smokey bacon crisps, or as my daughter informed me smokey bacon crisps and feet haha)

Lunch

Nothing as I had a late brunch and we didn't go to Mcdonalds so didnt need the couscous mix I'd prepared

Dinner

Homemade chilli & Rice ( LM vegemince, peppers, tomatoes, red beans, baked beans, pasatta annoyed I was having a domestic with hubs at the time and without thinking started to add Olive oil to mine instead of the girls meat... ...)

just looked up olive oil and luckily I only used half a hex worth and only had half a hex at breakfast so phew still syn free

WW tortilla chips (4syns)

Desert

Rice pudding left over rice from dinner mixed with milk (hex) nutmeg I'll try stirring in a Fat free vanilla yoghurt if it's lacking something like I've seen the others do that.

Going to have a treat tonight of cheese and onion crusty cob (Naughty tweaking hex value) but I'm sure I wont fancy chocolate afterwards so I'll be keeping my syns down ;)

Drinks about 3/4 litre on water front, 3 coffee black diet coke diet squash and a cup of tea, might have a hot choccie as it is so cold before the onion obviously lol

Good day so far

Picked at some pulled pork as I cooked dinner

Dinner

Honey and mustard glazed gammon (Honey was 2 syns for the whole joint thats impressive thought it would be more than that)
Carrot and swede mash
Cauliflower and brocolli bake ! laughing cow triangle (1syn) and cheese (hex)
Gravy made from oxo
SW friendly roast potatoes (1/2 hex)
Sprouts
Yorkshire pudding (2syn)

Still got hex of each and some syns left to use

Snacks
frozen fat free yoghurt

Drinks
water tea black coffee blackcurrant with fizzy water
 
Feeling tired today but think it was from walking around town yesterday coupled with a daughter who doesn't do sleeping

Yesterdays food intake first

Fat free yoghurt blueberries and banana

Lunch

Went to mcdonalds with hubs he had a meal, whilst I ordered a garden salad and diet coke and sneakily added ham couscous peppers and red beans I'd bought with me ;)

Dinner

Chicken fillet with 1 tsp of jack daniels sauce (1syn approx)
homemade sweet potato chips and garlic mushrooms
Large salad

Supper
Cheese sandwich (hex) WW cheese bites (4syns)

Drinks

Water coffee tea, diet coke blackcurrant and fizzy water
 
Day 9

Off to see La Boheme tonight so bit stuck on what to do to dinnerwise as I have to be out by 5.45pm So do I do a late lunch or early dinner? Starving today but stuck for ideas what to have cooked breakfast or cereal?

Mushrooms poached in milk (makes a creamy type sauce)
Poched egg
Toast (1/2 hex)
Beans and mini sausages (2syns) (Not sure of the syns 3.5 syns for a 100g, but beans are free on SE, so I weighed out 50g in sausages and synned it at 2 syns)

Lunch

Homemade free soup

Ham and salad leaves 2 ryvitas (1/2hex) laughing cow triangle (Part hex)

Dinner

Spicy curried mince with rice and homemade samosa (1syn) yoghurt and mint dip with cucumber and tomato salad

Drinks

Lots of black coffee, hot water and lemon.. water 1 litre so far, blackcurrant and fizzy water
 
Quick update of the diary it's only 8.30 and I'm ready for bed already, think it's because I had a full day today

Breakfast

At the hospital straight after the school run

Fat free yoghurt (1.5 syns)
Banana

Lunch

Prawn sandwich (1/2 syn) hex

Was still starving so simmered mushrooms and tinned tomatoes together and added paprika and basil as I had no free soup

Dinner

beef stew steak (2syns) potato, swede and carrots with dumplings (4 syns)

I'm not sure I've worked the syns out correctly for the dumplings on a SE day though so I'll change it to a EE day I guess booo

definately a EE day I forgot I have to syn at the higher green rate on SE arghh don't know where my head is at today

Only cheese hex left :( and 7.5 syns but at least I can make a cheeky rice SW pudding instead


Drinks rubbish at water today, 2 black coffees, 1 diet coke hot blackcurrant squash and 1 tea

sneaky wi and only showing 1/2lb loss even though I've been on plan all week so far so a little disappointed especially seeing as I'm eating out for lunch tomorrow...

Mushrooms quorn bacon style rashers x 3 (We had actually ran out of bacon that never happens usually so had to settle for quorn version) and poached egg

Lunch

1 egg omlette (only as M offered it me)

Ploughmans lunch SW style
Ham, hard boiled egg, salad leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, pickled onions, cheese and pickle (1syn)

Dinner

Sea bass, with pan fried potaotes (1/2 hex) and pan fried cabbage and bacon def do the panfried cabbage and bacon again

Supper

two ryvita with hex cheese

Snacks

handful of grapes

hot chocolate 2 syns and freddo frog (5syns)

Drinks

Crap on the plain water front only half litre but feeling thirsty so ill have another big drink of it before bed so that'll give me a litre plus...

naughty steals from the kids 1 1/2 tortilla chips and a bite of granola bar something else I can't control myself around ;)

So much for not eating late but I know if I don't eat my hex's and syns I don't loose as I'm not eating enough

Looking forward to lunch tomorrow but at the same time I'm worried about feeling guilty if there isn't anything SW friendly on the menu I was going to have WW crisps tonight too but then decided instead of eating them just for the sake of using syns I'd keep the syns to offset tomorrows lunch (thats 14 extra syns to use against lunch) hope it doesn't affect weight loss as I've never carried syns over for a couple of days..


Oh and 11 days AL free yay...

WI tomorrow, sneaky WI this morning shows still only 1/2lb loss this week fingers crossed I get to 1lb loss by tomorrow..

def not a day for dieting deep snow on the ground and wanting to cuddle up with hot choccies and cream etc.. but sticking with it... knitting a scarf to distract myself

Crap at water again, had endless amounts of black coffee I've had the maker on twice today and can't resist fresh coffee, hot water and lemon, mug of tea that took care of my wine craving, glass of lemon squash, feeling thirsty now so will hit the water before bed... really enjoying waking up without hangovers or fuzzy heads although I don't know how long it will last before I have a glass of wine... ;)

Hot choccie at bed time calls and maybe a flake ( I hid a pack behind the quorn in the freezer ;) )

Day 14

Weigh in shows 1lb loss this week, well actually it couldn't decide between 1lb or 1 1/2lb so I went with the one. A little disappointed as I had been on plan all week, will stay on plan next week as I'm planning a bithday evening for my sister a week monday and I'm out for lunch next friday, so want to still have losses next week and the week after.


Up and down day today emotionally it would have been too easy to open a bottle of scotch and bar of chocolate today, even now someone on tv is drinking a nice glass of scotch and I WANT one...

Green day today as I wanted rice for dinner

2 rasher of quorn bacon subsitute
sausage and beans (1 syn)

grapes and blueberries
( I had breakfast late so wasn't hungry as such

going to swap both my hex's for a crusty cob as my weekly treat reckoning the syn value of 4 slices of wholemeal will off set some of the syns in a crusty cob.. cheese (hex) and red onion

then either a hot chocolate and freedie frog or I might splurge out on a peanut butter kitakat (I couldn't see the coconut ones)

Drinks

Crap on water front again will try and drink at least half a litre before bed. far too much decaff black coffee, litre of diet coke... 1 mug of tea to keep away the alcohol craving
