Hi guys! Those who used to follow me on me old diary (http://www.minimins.com/slimming-wor...s-diaries.html) may have noticed that I've been AWOL lately
I've found myself really struggling the past month or so, and in all honesty I've just been making excuses for myself. Social occasions, new boyfriend, nice weather, etc. I've been totally off the rails! In the last 5 weeks of being totally off plan, I've gained 5.5lb in total (had a 2lb gain at group last night). To be totally truthful, I am quite relieved with that. I can easily gain that in one week alone! So it could have been a lot worse.
I had tried a few times in my old diary to draw a line and start afresh, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I felt I needed a brand new slate entirely, so today is the day I've decided to start a new diary and a "new start" on my Slimming Journey. Today is also the first day of a fresh Slimming World week for me, so it just feels right to do so.
I hope my lovely friends will join me in my new diary - and hopefully some new ones too!! At the moment I really need all of the support I can get.
So, here we go. Let's do this, once and for all!!

So, today is the first day of my fresh start. I haven't rejoined or anything official like that, I just needed to leave behind some of the negativity and excuses from my old diary and wipe the slate clean.
I'm really feeling motivated today. I also think a lot of that has to do with the fact that my Consultant came back to group last night. She's been away for the past 6 weeks after an operation, and although the cover we had was absolutely fantastic, I did struggle without Nic. I feel like I have more to answer for now that she's back - she's gotten me this far, and I couldn't have done it without her, so now I wan't to prove to her that I can and will finish this journey I started!! As one member said last night, the messiah is back
I am also using this fresh start as an opportunity to get back to the gym! As well as Food Optimising, I've been so slack with Body Magic over the past month or so. Giving myself a kick up the backside and heading off to Body Combat with my cousin tonight. It will kill me, and I will be so out of syn with the routine, but I will do it. I feel so unfit and sluggish after giving it up, I really want to get back into it.
This week you might notice my Syns looking a little low. That's because I'm off out for an Indian on Saturday night with some old work colleagues. When I left school I worked Saturdays in a bakery called Peters (don't know if anyone had one locally?) Anyway, they went into administration and had to be closed, and since then we've not all really seen each other. I worked there for 5 years and we were all really close, so we decided it might be nice for us to all go out and have a bit of a catch up. It's a local Indian we're going to - we used to go each year for our Christmas meal. So anyway, I'm saving my Syns for that. I have planned to have Chicken Jalfrezi (8.5 Syns), boiled rice (free) and half a Poppadom (2 Syns), but I'd like to keep plenty of Syns left over just in case any little extras do end up slipping in - pickles, extra poppadom, etc.
Anyway, enough rabbiting on. Let's get cracking! I think I'll start off my week with a Red day...

- Tesco Chilli Chicken Noodle Salad (3.5 Syns)
- Chicken (S) and Vegetable (Peppers (S), Red Onion (S) and Mushrooms (S)) Skewers, marinated in 3 tbsp Nando's Medium Peri Peri Sauce (1.5 Syns). Served with homemade Salsa (Chopped Tomatoes (S), Red Pepper (S), Red Onion (S), Fresh Tomatoes (S) and Chilli (S))
- 2 x Rocky Road HiFi Light (HExB)
- Coffee made up with Milk (HExA)
- Berry Bakewell HiFi (HExB)
Healthy A: 250ml Semi Skimmed Milk
Healthy B: 2 x HiFi Light & 1 x HiFi

Go you!! Great idea,on the fresh start, I can understand you wanting to not only draw a line under the food but also the attitude.
Onwards and upwards... or onwards and downwards in the case of the scales!!

Hello again! So glad to see this and despite the gain, I know it means the rest of life has been going swell for you! I must say the last two weeks have been exactly the same as you. For once, I wasn't eating because I was sad but because I was being happy, sociable and drunk again! I've done it before but now I need to learn to balance social life with the diet again. I am weighing in tonight after 2 weeks avoiding it and I'm estimating a 5lb gain. Either way, I've got into the swing of the gym, booked some classes and got my food plan for this week all planned out so fingers crossed.
