    My Diary of Small Successes........time for some optimism!

    Heya everyone,

    its about my 4th attempt at a diary that I never seem to to upkeep mostly because I yoyo all over the place and am a bit scared of being accountable!!

    Anyway, I am struggling with a new job at the moment which involves being away and in hotels alot so all three meals are eaten out with little choice on my behalf on where we go..... this diary is to celebrate the little things that I do manage to get right everyday and not dwell on the negative which is what i always do and hopefully (fingers crossed) some weight loss along the way!

    Todays small successes (PLURAL YAY!) are:

    I went to an aqua aerobics class in my hotel after work
    I made the almost the best food choices that I could off each menu that I was given and I did not have more than 1 course at any meal today
    I am getting to bed early for a good nights sleep

    Might seem pitiful to some people but for me these are huges advances towards making things a habit

    Please Please Please write to me if you are reading this I would like some support

    Todays small successes are that I get to finish work early ahead of a long week of work ahead
    I also will get to get home for a home cooked SW friendly meal tonight, cannot wait!
    I will also probably get time to go for a walk tonight

    No more dwelling on the negatives!!! Have a great weekend everyone

    Hello you, Looks like we are about the same weight and same starting weight!
    Im going to change my target to 11 when Im nearer as I feel I couldn't cope if I did it now lol.

    I think youre doing very well - I hate it when you go for meals and theres a 2 or 3 course set menu/special offer! I always want them extra courses cos its only like 1p (maybe not quite) more! Also going to a fitness class after work, you deserve an award the time im having at the moment I just want to lie on the sofa!

    Keep up the good work! x

    Hi Emma thanks for writing to me :-) how are you gettin on? have you been doing SW long? I have been on and off for 3 years losing and gaining the same weight each time! I don't really know what I want my target to be as I have never been slim but I am bottom heavy so when my legs don't rub when I walk anymore ill be one happy camper lol!

    thanks for the well done I really do feel good about how I am doing for a change I am makin the best of a bad situation rather than wallowing and comfort eating as I usually do! and its paying off as I made it to a weigh in tonight in a class where I am working and lost 2.5lb! so woo that's todays success :-)

    just a quick post as I am about to go asleep, having an awful day and in very bad form but promised id at least try have some optimism on here so for today that is that I still went to exercise even though all I wanna do is crawl into a hole or under the duvet ha ha, night all here is to a better day tomorrow!

    Friday how I love you! home for the weekend and its my first day off tomorrow in over two weeks so today I am happy! food has been good today so far and even resisted the pizza and chips that all my colleagues got :-)

    morning all I had to go to a party last night but I didn't drink or touch any buffet food,I really love when I am this determined, for me its always that I am all or nothin to be honest! but much prefer being on the wagon than off obviously :-) planned a major lie in today till around 12 but body clock has me awake ages! anyway plan for today is meet a friend for a tea at lunch, dye my hair after it and cook dinner with my boyfriend later, home made burgers and sweet potato chips I think today and I can't wait!

    just travelling back to the hotel for the week now boo! plus side I made a gorgeous trifle earlier not syn free but lower syn than normal trifle it was delicious!

    Sorry Ive been so rubbish - lots going on and non of it fun!

    Ive been doing it since March, but seriously march-may then had a holiday then sort of June, properly in july, for holiday in August, then dabbled sept since.
    Ive stayed around the 2stone lost mark which is naughty since in August I was 2lbs away from 2 and a half stone!

    You sound like you've had amazing will power so the 2.5lbs off is definatley deserved! WOOP WOOP!!!

    It must be so hard when you have to eat out a lot, I love eating out and Im not very good at making the right choices. Dreading weigh in on Thursday as Ive been a piggy all weekend, it would of been worse but the brakes on my car have gone so couldn't get a hangover helping McDonalds lol

    Hope all is ok if you have lots going on!


    Well done for keeping the 2 stone off its very hard with holidays to be led astray and not return lol. I have been doing it two years, lost 2.5 stone, then yo-yoed for a while and put back on just over a stone, then rejoined around a year ago, lost a stone and a half taking me to 3 in total, and since I have hit the 3 stone mark i have over a stone on with the new job in the space of a few months hopefully can tip away at that gain though and be back to the 3 stone mark early next year. I am going to florida next september and have never been so really really wanna be as close to target by then as possible. It is gonna be the holiday of a lifetime so it is great incentive and motivation!


    Thanks for the WOOP WOOP, i really felt like shouting on the scale or something was so happy! Weigh in again tomorrow night but depends what time I finish work at to see if I can make it to the group or not (i am just visiting a group in my hotel- very convenient)


    Oh it is so hard to eat out and even more so when all my colleagues are eating whatever they want and I am tired and stressed!


    Hope you weigh in is good thursday just do some damage limitation till then and at least your brakes stopped the mcdonalds

    ummm... so I had a healthy tea, cmoked haddock, leeks and mash.
    Then had a sponge pudding and custard....

    I haven't done a shop so I had... an aero mousse for breakfast! Then a sausage sandwich at work!
    I have a microwave pouch of uncle bens??? Mexican rice for lunch...

    Not good at all! - O Ive been having a nightmare, have a spy on my diary if you can be bothered.

    Fab with a group being in your hotel! That's so good. I know all of my friends are size 8/10s eat like kids, nuggets and any other processed food! and winge about being fat!

    hey :-)

    at least you started off well anyway, I know exactly what you mean about not having healthy food in the house and reaching for the not so best choice out of convenience and necessity though! I think the one big thing about SW is that you really have to be very organised and in real life that can be very hard to do! what is your diary and I have a look? if you have lots going on at the minute then that must come first and just try limit the damage where you can, a few days won't undo all your hard work :-) and besides you could have been much much worse :-)

    yeah heading to weigh in in a few mins I am quite nervous hope its 1.5 or more as that will take me back into the 13s :-) not gettin dinner till after it as only just finished work, I am thinkin of ordering Italian to the hotel maybe a lasagna to treat myself for a change I think I deserve it unless weigh in is not good :-)

    celebrated last night with a portion of lasagna and salad from an Italian near the hotel it was what I really wanted so I allowed myself it as I am feeling quite deprived lately when eating out always having to go for the best option,it wasn't overly big but my god it was delicious, back on it today punnet of strawberries and a ff yogurt for breakfast :-)
