How do you feel after losing the weight? Physically I mean?
as the title states, how do you feel now that you have lost your weight, or well on your road to losing it?
Did you have any medical issues that are better now you are lighter? Or things you couldn't do before that you can do now etc?
I have a few medical problems that apparently will get better as I get lighter, so am just enquiring when it was people started to notice a difference in themselves?
thanks for reading x
I can get up the stairs without feeling like I need a Sherpa now. I used to struggle, especially if I was carrying one (or both!) of the kids. Also hopping over the baby gates is much easier now.
It had got to the point where i was in so much pain because of the pressure of the excess skin pulling around the area of my c-sections I could barely move on some days and I had seriously started thinking about having surgery to get rid of it. After speaking to the Dr she said it would be much quicker to go private as I would have to prove it was having a negative affect on my life and health before getting referred on the nhs and even then I wouldnt be a priority. I looked into how much it would be and thought, that is how much money Im depriving my kids of.
I do still have my baby belly but it is shrinking gradually (probably would be more but I've not been going to the gym much since christmas!) and I am much happier now I can play with my kids, Im not embarrassed to take them to the soft play in case I get stuck (not even joking!)
Thanks lovely xx
The big one for me was that after losing 5.5 stone I fell pregnant! I'm pretty convinced that losing weight at least helped with that as we'd been trying for a while when it finally happened. Baby is now two months old and I'm back to losing the weight again - I'm at a loss of 4.5 stone now with just under 5 stone left to target.
The other things that changed when I lost weight were that my scalp psoriasis dramatically improved and the plantar fasciitis that I'd had for years in my right foot disappeared - I think that was at about the 3.5 stone lost stage? It was odd, I woke up one morning and realised that my foot hadn't hurt for weeks!
The health benefits of losing weight have been incredible for me and I'm only half way to a healthy weight! Just shows that even losing a bit can help you x

For me I'm noticing silly little things (loss of 3st 12.5lbs..and just over half way to where I think I'll be happy) like being able to cross my legs like a lady (rather than sitting like a man cos my legs were so big!); finding I actually have knee caps (I forgot I had a joint under all my fat!). But also having so much more energy so I'm no longer knackered at the end of the day and my heels and my back no longer killing me. All good xx
Wow thanks guys! The physical benefits alone are worth it xx
A lot different, i never noticed the weight when i had in (in a physical sense, i could see it but didnt feel it like), but as it came off i felt so much lighter and better for losing it.
I have and still have polycystic ovaries, but i went from losing my monthlies to them triggering themselves back into action when i'd lost 5stone. Even now i notice some of the symptoms decreasing as i'm losing weight.
I started noticing slight differences after a few stone, but it wasn't until 5 stone or so i got realy physical signs that things were changing.

I lost a lot of weight in the past, I used to run and exercise even when I was obese. So even though I was fat I was quite fit and healthy, so I never really noticed any health changes with weight loss. Although I'm guessing cholesterol etc would have gone down.
The main think I felt was confidence which is the best feeling in the world.
Well, my blood pressure is lower, and my cholesterol, I've stopped snoring, don't get heartburn any more, don't feel sick all the time, don't get crippling backache, and don't get anywhere near as tired. I still can't walk very well, as the osteoarthritis damage to my knees had already been done and is irreversible, but it would certainly be much worse if I was still 10 stone heavier! On the downside, I developed gallstones, a common result of weight loss, and had to have my gallbladder out, but that's a very small price to pay. xx
At the risk of TMI, I have found that I no longer have to use pant liners, as I fully in control of my bladder!!
My blood pressure was on the high side before I started slimming world. I wasn't at the point that I would need medication, but it was enough to frighten me as was only 23 and would have been the start of everything, like diabetes etc! so I decided to lose weight. I used to hate clothes never really felt like making an effort, clothes at size 24 arnt too pretty and for my age, most things are old fashioned! So now I have no health problems what so ever and can shop anywhere as a size 12. So all in all I feel fab physically
loss of muscle mass has caused me issues in my shoulders and knees.....
I spend most of my work day on my feet. I used to come home limping, barely able to walk because my feet were aching so badly. I have not changed any of my work shoes but your question made me realise I have not had sore feet for a few months now.
