Thread: need some motivation.

    need some motivation.

    right so im onto my 3rd week and so far ive lost 4lb.
    i dont feeling im loosing as quick as everyone else seems to be.
    I dont think im having my 1/3rd of super foods with my meals.

    Please can someone help me be motivated or give me some ideas?
    i wish to loose a stone by august!

    Hi Charlouxo, I feel the same. I am in my second week of SW and I weigh in on Fridays. On my first weigh in it said I had actually put on 1.5lb instead of losing anything. If I don't lose something this week I'll be really disappointed.

    I feel like I am following the plan right, I have 1/3 superfree with most meals, I choose and measure my HEx and I use my syns too. Most days I get to around 8 -10 syns but somedays I will use all 15.

    Any tips/advice would really be appreciated.

    Do you have a food diary?! It can be helpful to syn check everything your eating. It could be that your eating hidden syns. 1/3 superfree is quite important, they are low calorie foods which help stop you from over eating the higher calories free foods.
    You snack choices are important too!

    ive been doing a diary, im not going to the meetings at the minute tho as i cant afford to untill im back to work (currently on maternity)
    i feel the exact same kiki_wins. Im going to restart my food diary again this week and hopefully i can get more 1/3 superfree in. i struggle and breakfast and lunch time the most.

    I have said this before, so sorry if I am boring everyone! The trick for me is to decide on the superfree first. I don't say I am having chicken and what superfree can I have with it, I say I am having these vegetables, or that salad, and what meat/fish/eggs/whatever can I have with that.

    A lot of supermarkets are very helpful in this respect, as the vegetables are usually just as you go in. I do that part of the shopping first, looking to see what looks nice, or is on offer, or I haven't had before. Then I go and buy the stuff to go with it.

    Works for me, anyway.

    We all lose at different rates, but if you could post a few days examples of what you are eating then we would be better able to advise you.

    I agree with the post above! We all lose weight with different speed! Look in the intrent through the options on speeding up the metabolism. People do forget about this important thing. If your metabolism is slow you will be losing very slowly.

    Yes I'm keeping the food diary and I check the syns in everything but then to be fair I don't really eat a lot of food that is "synful" I only use my syns for extra splashes of milk, tbsps of mayo/other sauce, a bit of cheese or maybe a few low syn biscuits. I have been snacking mostly on fruit and sometimes sliced meat and muller lights. I am thinking that it might be my portion sizes because I am still very much addicted to that "full feeling"
    I know I have to try to cut down on portion sizes...

    Kiki have you tried to fill up more on super free foods first? It's what I do. I have snacked on pretty much a whole watermelon today!

    Thats great. I did get caught with sliced ham though, some have syns!! I was lead to believe all was free. And it was affecting me at the scales.. just an idea..

    In principal the diary looks ok. I don't see why you can't lose a stone by August. Keep an eye on other's food diaries to inspire you and look at the what's for lunch and tea threads to give you ideas and keep the repetition out of your diet.

    3 syns for a chicken kiev seems very low . Did you find that from syns online?
