Ooh, a diary! That's new... Let's give it a go.
Now, where to start? Well, it's been a lifetime of yo-yo dieting, lack of stickability, back problems and a positive hatred of the body I have inflicted on myself, (body-image issues - moi? You betcha). So here I am, looking for a quick-start to keep the motivation levels up.
I have seen friends lose tons on LL, one of whom has actually kept it off for 3 years, and others who have lost similar amounts on Exante. For me, it had to be Exante because I could not afford LL, nor would I be able to take the 'Counselling' seriously.
I am a bit late discovering MiniMins, I've been on TS for four weeks already and have lost my first stone - YAY!! I have to say that so far this has been a dream for me. Once I got past the first 3 days and the headache, I have pretty much sailed through. I am NOT hungry. I can cook happily for my husband and I love watching cookery programmes on television, (Rick Stein is a god!) I'm also doing rather a lot of sniffing...dinners, cakes, burgers etc. I maintain that there are NO carbs or calories in a good sniff.
Oh - another unexpected bonus! You know, I always enjoyed a glass of red every evening after work. I worried about not having that but, guess what? I haven't had alcohol for the whole four weeks and I'm good with that! In fact, I went out with the Much-Beloved last Friday, ("Sparkling water for me please, no lemon"), when a round of drinks went past me. I caught a whiff of the red wine and to me it smelled foul! (Am I cured? Nah, I kinda think not. It was probably a bad bottle...but it was the best kind of positive reinforcement!)
In order to get back down to a size 12 and into a healthy BMI I have to lose another couple of stones. Right now, I'll be happy to get out of double figures...
I started off weighing myself every other day and watched the pounds melt. Last weigh-in was three days ago and I am now aiming at not standing on the scales again until next Tuesday.
I am most worried about the fact that I start AAM this weekend. Will eating real food send me on a downward spiral to crash and burn another weightloss attempt? The recipes on the Exante site look lovely so I hope that if I can keep to just those meals I will be able to maintain the stats.
Anyway, that'll do for now. If anybody reads this and has any input about AAM weeks, I'd be very grateful to hear from you.
