Slimming on a budget

If you have a slow cooker you can buy the cheapest cuts of meat because once they have cooked all day they taste very tender and yummy!

I have found that my local market is cheaper for fruit and veg, and are of a much higher quality!

My biggest tip though, and what I do every week, is to plan 6 days worth of meals: breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks. Then I write a shopping list for the supermarket, one for the butchers and one for the grocers (the grocers I will go to more than once in the week).
I don't buy any extra things while I'm the supermarket, just what's on the list!
After six days, I get any veg that is left in my fridge from the week, and use rice or pasta and tinned items I have left to concoct my meals for the day. Then when I next go shopping my fridge and cupboards are almost empty! I never throw food away, and I don't own a freezer!
