Hey cara! I find that you motivating you is the best way anyway. We all have good intentions for the family etc but only when you want it for you will you be successful. Great focus for the wedding imagine how great you'll look and all the people who haven't seem you for a while seeing the skinny you!!! You'll soon be at goal xxx

Hi ainsacotty. It's horrible being the fat one isn't it :( you won't be for long though! It can take a while to catch up emotionally with your weight loss. I felt exactly the same for ages when I'd lost 3 stone but slowly was starting to feel a little thinner before the last three weeks. Xxx

I did. People try to make you eat. Tell you it can't be good for you etc. although some get it. I always said that the only person my not eating was bothering was them. I was fine with it and they should be grateful I was out at all lol. On the odd occasion I didn't want the battle id just have a chicken salad or try to go to the harvester and have the plain chicken breast.

Let's get through day three... Xxx
 
Hi everyone, great idea to start a team for all of us. Definitely the motivation and support I need :) Hope I can offer the same to everyone else x

I'm Kate, 30 years old with 2 boys aged 7 and 10. I'm studying to be a design and technology teacher at uni and will be going on placement in September. That's one of the reasons I'm doing this, I'll be nervous enough standing in front of a load of teenagers without being fat as well lol. I also want to be a good role model for my kids and not an embarrassment. I've got about 4 stones to lose, would love to have the majority of that off by late August as it's my cousins wedding and I'd love to shock family members I've not seen for a while.

I'm on day 3 as a couple of you know and feeling really positive, although how long that lasts is anyone's guess! I'm busy at uni all day and not getting in til after half 5 so that should keep me out of trouble for a while. To be honest, I've gone without food quite frequently at uni as I don't eat breakfast, forget to pack a lunch (not paying extortionate prices in the canteen!) and then sometimes don't eat til 8 at night. But then it's probably covered in cheese and washed down with a bottle of wine! And I wonder why I never lose weight lol

I did lighterlife about 5 years ago and did really well but didn't see it thru, put everything back on plus some more. Since then I've tried healthy eating, slimming world etc but get demotivated by the 1lb weekly losses. Patience is definitely not one of my virtues!!

My first weigh in is on Saturday morning and I'm quite excited, nearly half way there and ketosis will soon kick in. I remember the high I got from that and can't wait.

We've all got through the hardest 2 days... Here's to day 3. Drink up! We can do it :) xxxx
 
Day 3 ! Morning ? just had my first shake! choc! Definatly think it's my favourite. Ive had strawberry and vanilla butterscotch which are all ok but sometimes think they taste abit powdery? I've got toffee and walnut But keep putting off having it! I'm being weighed on Friday after 5 days! It's at 12 so a good time I think.

Just wanted a bit of advise. I think maybe my consultant is a bit slack? She is a lovely lady, explained the whole science of the Cambridge diet which was good. BUT .. She said to me don't bother with SS and just start with SS+ .... I havnt had any food as I wanted to see if I could actually do it without and I have... She also said I could drink tea and coffee as normal... Have chicken salad with pizza express dressing?! As it low carb compared to extra low calorie mayo? I wana do my best at the diet and I'm in the right frame of mind and determined. Posts on here certainly keep me goin... Just makes me think she not rele rele bothered about what I eat etc? When I initially phone another consultant in my area she explained no food at all... Which is what I expected.. She was harder for me
To get to. So I went to the lady I have now. She also never gave me any booklet I keep reading about? What would you do? So sorry for the essay!! X

You will def have most of that off be august and will stun your family :) it's great when people who haven't seen you for ages see the weight you've lost, gives you such a buzz. Good luck with day 3!!

Hey - my consultant does something similar. The small amount of milk you have in tea / coffee won't really make a difference as you can have milk on a higher step and still be in ketosis. My consultant also told me i could have as much lettuce, cucumber, mushrooms and green peppers as i like with 50g chicken and some fat free salad dressing. Last time i did this i had those salads when i felt like i needed them to keep me on plan - probably 2/3 times each week although i never had them for the first two weeks. For me they were a godsend and my losses were great - i lost 3 stone in around 3 months, my losses slowed towards the end but that wasn't really to do with the salads as i tried cutting them out. I see it as an option, to stop me falling off plan, there if you need it and not if you don't. I'm day three and haven't had a salad yet but have the bits in the fridge for if i feel i need to. You have to go with whatever you think is right, don't have the salad or the milk if you don't want to - this is your journey at the end of the day xxx

What's everyone Fave flavour shakes? I've heard u can make then hot :/ I'm worried about trying it incase I don't like it and just waste the whole shake!

Anisacoty, I like most of them. Apart from butterscotch and not sure about toffee walnut, the choc orange is nice and sweet but has funny sickly aftertaste. The choc and the choc and mint are nice hot. I usually make in my shaker then pour in cup and heat in microwave.
I think it's wise to try stick with shakes, but its good to know what you can eat if you have a social event or a bad day.

Yep i count ten too :) There will be no failing in this time :D we are going to push through all the way to goal. I'm ok so far, not doing too bad. Drinking plenty to try and keep the hunger at bay... think it's going to be hard today but i'm ready to fight it, have a busy day at work to keep me distracted plus you lovely guys :)

Best idea - don't be afraid of it if you need it, but don't nibble on anything, doesn't help you to address any bad habits and if you're anything like me it's quite amazing how much i could nibble in a day!!!

My favourite are the porridges and the chocolate - i have the chocolate hot (yummy). I like the banana tetras and the chocolate and toffee bars when i get to the point i can have them. I tend to have one porridge and two chocolate shakes each day, that's all i was having by the end last time (i'm always cold so they help) so that's all i got this time too lol x
