This time will be my time

you can and you will!! i went off the diet for two weeks and changed consultants so i also decided to eat everything and anything as my goodbye to food. But honestly was it worth it, looking back not at all i felt crap and gained 5lbs which just meant i had more to lose. i wish i hadn't binged and that's what i would say to you but regardless you will see a loss when you start if u just stick to it and i believe that all of us who have struggled with weight can its just about reminding ourselves of why we need to this :)

I'm handing my dissertation in tomorrow morning, can't wait to be done with it. It's killed me!! I've been up at 6 every day and going to bed at 1 in the morning so I've been munching on rubbish all day long.

I know it's silly but I'm really embarrassed for my consultant to weigh me. But I need to just face it and get on with it. Can't wait to get started now.

How are you getting on? Xx

Hey just read through your diary. Can totally relate with the binge eating. I have had numerous failed restarts but am going strong now and am into 2nd week. I'm doing exante but have done Cambridge before pretty much the same just I don't see a consultant and have diff products but still VLCD. Anyway... I honestly binged for 5 months straight may - September. 5 months!!!! My point is meant to be that if I can snap out of it and into this then you 100% can. Will subscribe to keep an eye. You can do this!
 
well done for getting your dissertation in, i remember doing mine and the only thing that got me through was the snacking because the hours were crazy and i personally found it tough focusing on that and eating healthy, kinda seems your quite similar, but hopefully since handing it in things have been better? and don't feel embarrassed we all struggle and it's better to face it then ignore it, as there is more chance of it getting out of control. I've been ok thanks, the boredom is killing me but whist i'm looking for work i've taken up crocheting which has been kinda fun and takes my mind off stuff, I have managed to stick to it for a month straight which i'm slightly shocked and proud for doing. Although i constantly have a fear i will break over something silly but still trying to keep focused and remind myself why i'm doing this. How is everyone else doing?

Progress so far
Started 4[SUP]th[/SUP] August – Weight 17 stone and 3lbs
Week 1- Lost 10lbs
Week 2- Lost 3lbs
Week 3 and 4- went off the diet :mad:
I restarted with a new consultant on the 5[SUP]th[/SUP] September and gained 5lbs
Week 1 (again) - Lost 9lbs
Week 2 – Lost 4lbs
Week 3 – Lost 4lbs
Week 4- Lost 3lbs (15.3)

Total weight loss 28lbs :D

I have just met my consultant for the first time and picked my products etc... I was dreading being weighed as I have binged like crazy for the last 3 weeks, but surprisingly I was a pound and a half less than when I weighed myself last month. Weird!!

Both nervous and excited to start tomorrow I want to do this sooooo much. Keep going you're doing great!!! Xx

Yeah I found it impossible to eat sensibly for the last few weeks whilst doing my dissertation. I just grazed on rubbish to cheer myself up in between writing. I'm starting CWP tomorrow!!! I'm excited but scared. What sort of job are you looking for? Which sector? I really, really want to learn to crochet! I've been looking at YouTube tutorials.
You're doing fantastic keep going, fingers crossed I can do as good as you xx
 
Ohhh look it as an exciting time as things ate about to change and you can get to a weight you are happier with and regain control over food. Xx
 
Hey cece12, good luck for tomorrow and i have no doubts you will lose lots, its a tough diet but so worth it when you see results. One thing that I remember is how sluggish I felt when I went off CD for two week and then when I restarted I had so much energy I had and generally feeling better, so hopefully you will feel the same. Crocheting is a lot of fun and I used the youtube clips to learn they really help, i'm no expert yet but I made some leg warmers to wear with boots which are cool and for my next project i want to make a huge blanket so should keep me busy. I did a masters in social work, and would love to specialise in mental health as I really enjoyed my placement in a community mental health team. I also found out yesterday I passed the course and now I am determined to lose weight for my gradation which is in January, I was the largest on the course and to go back and see everyone a lot lighter would be amazing so trying to stay focused on that. What did you study?

Hey there! I'm actually doing exante but near enough the same, so have been lurking around here!! I'm 13 days In so far and holding out until day 28 to weigh myself so that will be scary / exciting!!
 
oh wow you should certainly get some great news on day 28, i'm terrible I literally weigh myself 4 /5 times a day rather obsessive really lol so well done i think its better seeing a big loss, rather than monitoring it on daily basis but you seem very determined and that will get you far :)

I work alongside the Mental Health team at a university and find that area very interesting. Congrats on passing your course. My Masters was in the History of London. I really want to make a blanket, as soon as I have my energy levels back a bit I will start teaching myself to crochet.

So I've pretty much done Day 1. It has been a tough day at work just because it has been so, so busy. Anyway I've stuck rigidly to plan, had my 3 products and about 3-3.5 litres of water. I'm now tucked up in bed absolutely exhausted. I've got to be up at half 5 so I thought I would get an extra early night in.

I know I can do this, even if my colleague keeps saying I should just "eat healthily and do some exercise", I find the assumption that I couldn't work that out for myself quite condescending but hey ho I will just have to prove her wrong!

Keep going everyone we can easily do this!! Xx
 
Oh cool sounds interesting. Well done for getting past day one, it must be difficult with people tell you to "eat healthy" it drives me mad, my friend keeps saying "just do it the proper way" like I haven't tried :mad: but yea like you I will prove them all wrong. You will certainly need that blanket for when you hit ketosis, its freezing but Good Luck for day two :) hope it goes well.
 
So day 3 is almost done and again I have found it very tough. My consultant said I have to be on Sole Source+ but for the last couple of days I have stuck to Sole Source because I was scared I wouldn't lose weight. However I cannot physically swallow the soup, I don't like the porridge and just about can deal with the shakes. So I've decided to stick to SS+ from now on and when I see my consultant on Saturday I'm just going to order the tetras and try the bars. If I'm going to stick to this plan for the next 6 months I've got to find stuff I can tolerate.

Just had a 200cal meal consisting of chicken and kale and it was lovely. My water intake has been over 3 litres a day.

I've ordered just bars and tetras as I cannot stomach the other products and I don't want to ruin it. I've still been having a small 200 cal meal every evening, stuff like chicken and veg stir fry, prawns or a mushroom and spinach omelette.

I've had one of my toughest weeks at work so starting Cambridge this week has seemed crazy at times. But I've got through the first week, I've got to keep going now!!

About to try my first bar!! Hope you're all ok and doing well xx

Also massive Well done on sticking with it, not easy if your not fond of the products but fingers crossed you like the tetras & enjoyed the bar ?
I must say though my taste buds change whilst on plan so it may be worth trying some products again at a later stage :)

I tried my first peanut bar yesterday and liked it phew! I really want to keep going till Christmas and shift as much weight by then as possible.

Thinking about moving to Slimming World after my next weigh in. I'm really struggling with the products still. I'm not exactly hungry, but I am barely eating my products- I've only had one today :-( I don't feel awful but I don't feel right either. I'll see how I feel at the end of this week. If i do decide to switch I will do it ASAP whilst I'm in this frame of mind. I am so determined. Hope you're all doing well xx

You have to do what's right for you & if your not in the frame of mind for CD then i have to be honest & say don't waste your money. It must be awful for you not to enjoy the products and its not good at all to be on any plan you don't enjoy.
