Oh my goodness thank you so much boofle and Lily24uk!! That is so inspirational. Amazing weightloss both of you and Lily42uK - you should be so proud of yourself - 12st is a huge weightloss.
I wil stick with WW for another while and see how I go but SW seems to be a great solution too.
I go to acupuncture for a stomach related problem and my acupuncturist reckons that SW is a great plan to get rid of 'dampness' (basically a bad thing that causes all our thyroid and anxiety issues!) in the body.
Do you ladies feel a lot better on the SW plan? I have found that increasing my levothyroxine from 25mg daily to 50mg daily has helped me so much and I'm hoping that the diet will also help me feel more energetic and uplifted too.
Thanks again for replying to my post and keep up the good work
Thank you hun, thankfully having lost the weight and doing regular exercise seems to help immensely, when I first started exercising I could barely manage 5 minutes a day, but over the last 4 years I have built that up to between 2 and 3 hours a day, not all at the same time but in half hour to 1 hour sessions and even then I have to usually sit down a few times, years of being overweight, an accident at work 15 years ago and arthritis due to the psoriasis have had their effect on me, but I am determined none of them will beat me, losing the 12st+ has helped so much too but I know I can't sit back on my laurels and must keep on at it.
I have over the 40+ years of trying to lose weight tried every plan you can think of and then some lol and for me it has to be SW, I was a huge WW fan for 20+ years but never really lost more than a couple of stone, it's only since joining SW and having the support of the most amazing consultant, who just happens to be a man and the group that I go to, the ladies and gents there are the most supportive people I have ever met, that I finally have found a plan that suits my appetite...being on the heavy steroids means I am constantly hungry it's a hunger that is never satiated, but I can eat lots of small meals and loads of fruit and my other saviours sugar free jelly and fat free yogurt and it's working.
You must stick with whatever works for you hun, but do stick with it, that's the lesson I have finally learnt...do not give up when it gets tough and looks like there is no end in sight....my motto is I didn't put it on overnight, so why would I expect to loose it overnight?
I have lost only 7lb in the last 18 months mainly due to having to take extraordinary high amounts of steroids as I am currently having a bad time with my condition, but I never missed a single class, gain or lose I went every week and now :fingerscrossed: it seems to be paying off as I am finally losing again, in the past I would have given up, but now it's time to beat the fat and NOT let it beat me ...sorry that was a mouthful and a half lol
Just keep on doing what you're doing hun, you'll get there xxx:hug99:xxx
