Big bloke's LL diary

Hi anyone who has popped in.

Starting LL tomorrow. Looking to lose 8st by the end of the year. A tough task, but I've been putting it off for about 6 years now. Will this time be any different? I'll find out tomorrow.

Will update as much as I can, struggled trying to start this last week, though have zero social commitments coming up over the next few months so have no excuse.

Keeping it short for now, God I hope I'm back on posting tomorrow and havent left this thread to fester...

Wish me luck!

Good luck with LL, and I hope it goes well for you :)

So, turns out I had another week of procrastination.

Have started today, two meals down. Feel okay!

Edit: and thanks for the support Scanbran!

Thanks mate, appreciate the support. All the best with your keto plan, did it a few years back and lost a considerable amount of weight in a few months, but I was eating a lot of cheese which I see you're not keen on! Make sure you get plenty of good quality fats and it will work for you!

Thanks and wish you well too with S&S.

I did actually buy a load of S&S packs twice towards end of last year. Never got round to starting and they went out of date. Was never a right time to start (surprise surprise..). Have to say though it is sooo much cheaper than LL.

So, first day over, 4 packs and 4 packs only, about 3L of water.....about to go to bed with really strong thoughts of pizza! Heard days 2 and 3 are the killer, today was tough, need to man up!!

Night all

Day 2 - Weight: 21st 1.5lb (Total Lost: 2lb)

So day 2, really really hard, splitting headaches but stuck to it. Just.

Just going to be bed, expecting more of the same tomorrow...

Day 3 - Weight: 20st 11lb (Total Lost: 6.5lb)

So nearing the end of my third day, no hiccups, all four packs eaten, 3.5L water and I genuinely feel okay - much better than I expected.

No real headaches and starting to feel a bit energetic! I'll wait till the week's up before I start commenting on energy levels!!

But, despite thoughts of pizza and crisps, I'm still on the wagon. I hope it lasts. Be nice to get in the 19's, first time in over 4 years I'm sad to say.

Wasn't going to weigh everyday and update stats/sig more than once a week but hey, it motivates me

ps Hobbio Ive taken a look at your keto diary, however will have to abstain for a bit until my cravings disappear due to numerous mentions of double cream, smoked sausage and quiche!!!..

You're doing well, just do what you need to do every day and you'll drop.

I know my keto diary must look like heaven compared to some of the plans people are on here, but it's pretty hard to stick to especially as I still have loads of choccy and crisps and stuff around (I have a kid and a wife, and it's not fair to deny them just because I'm choosing to go keto). I still want pizza and crisps too, but mainly I'm craving apples! I ate a banana yesterday and it felt wrong lol. I'm going to get a bit more scientific with weights, calories, true ratios etc at the weekend but for now I'm just concentrating on getting more fat than protein and bugger all carbs.

Good stuff mate, keep it going. Keto is difficult. I used to have one carb up meal a week just to keep me sane and the weight still came off. You should reach your goal by Christmas no worries.

Well done Weez, ul be in 19s in no time! I know what you mean about Hobit's diary. Salivation central!!!

You'll soon be immune. It gets easier. Lots of early nights probably!

Dont like knowing weight, so staying off scales! Go by shape.

Day 4 - Weight: 20st 8.5lb (Total Lost: 9lb)

Thanks FFNB your support is much appreciated!

Not going to weigh every day after this week, but am motivated by the losses so far, understand it is mostly water and glycogen though..

End of day 4, was going okay but got so hungry around 4-5pm onwards... due to work have only just been able to get all 4 packs in. Had to show some serious willpower walking back from work past gourmet burger kitchen, chinese, mcd's, subway, pasty shop etc. So, so hard, hate the thoughts we get to sabotage ourselves when we're trying to do something positive!

Hey ho on to tomorrow..

Pay on the back for you Weez. Well done for walking past all the temptations and not making a pit stop. Try to see it as a victory. Every food opportunity avoided gives you a power boost. That's how I look at it!

I avoid the scales totally. I get pissed off if the loss is minimal so I just stick to the plan 100%. I'm not special or out of the ordinary therefore: very low calories in = guaranteed weight loss. Simple! I did take start pictures (gross!) and will update this week to see if there's any difference.

Have a good day 5!

Thank you! And all the best with yours...are you doing Cambridge?

I think after this first week is up I wont be updating everyday. Just need a place to get all the cravings etc off my chest whilst I start.

Lost another 1.75lb today so down to 20st 6.75lbs a loss of 10.75lbs to date. Chuffed.

Energy is good, craving are starting to slow.
