Caroline 7lb 0 lost, 7lb to go
Frantastic 7lb 3 lost, 4lb to go
Thanks Shep, I really appreciate all the support all of you so generously give. Nothing like deciding to divorce your other half to keep you focussed on losing weight :(. I have decided that it's now me time.
Well ladies, I weighed myself today and I have managed to lose 3lbs this week :D. What a relief as I am still enjoying this diet. As that famous supermarket always says: 'every little helps' ;)
Hi Ladies, how is everyone doing. I supposed to be working from home today, but could miss out on the chance to post during normal hours. I know tomorrow is our official weigh in day but as I haven't had any good news in the rest of my life I thought I would share the one positive thing I...
:)Hi Broxi it's me again, I would like to join this group as well.
Could I also say thanks to Caroline and Shep :). You both gave me a very warm welcome on another thread, but I only just caught up with it.
I have to say Caroline I have been following all your threads with real interest and...
Broxi you have done well to date. I can't imagine how I'll feel when I get to your current weight. I know what you mean about the lack of food on CD. When I cheated on CD it was for a piece of chicken or a juicy steak of all things. I think the lack of solids brought out the carnivore in me...
:D Broxy thanks for the kind welcome. I had a colleague who went on LL and lost 5 st and she seems to be keeping it off, but she has been working with a nutritionist since she came off it. I am enjoying this system and I'm choosing to use it as a change of lifestyle rather than diet. I am...
Hi everyone:), I've been reading your supportive posts for the past two weeks and finally decided to take the plunge.
I bought DC from QVC and started on 1st September, having just celebrated my 44th year:cry:. I had been on CD earlier in the year and lost almost 2 stone in a less than two...
Hey guys sorry for the long absence. I think I got myself so run down with work and personal pressures I just got quite ill this week and couldn't get my head off the pillow. I am on the mend now and I am pleased to see that the weather is gorgeous today. I did drag myself to my weigh in, and I...
Lizzylocket go for it. If it was a deliberate change to test your resolve you prove that you are both determined to stick to CD and join the rest of the family in having a good time .
Lizzylocket why don't you try doing what I did when I had to go out with work colleagues a week ago. I rang up the restaurant in advance and just told them that I was on a very restrictive diet for helath reasons. We went through their menu and the chef agreed to cater for me. So I ate along...
Mat I've finally realised that I've made some big mistakes . A long story and that's why I have finally decided to get a grip of my life before it is too late. :sigh:
Miss Mallow you are doing really well. Your progress will be amazing once you start CD. You have got tremendous dicipline to start losing weight without the structure of the sachets. Keep up the good work.:)
I am glad to see you are all enjoying valentines day. Purple Hugs your partner sounds wonderful. Has he got any siblings. Unfortunately moh leaves a lot to be desired, and sadly I think marrying him is a sure sign that I carry very low self esteem
Anyway that's the old me and I know that...
Hi guys I hope you don't mind me gate crashing for a little whiile. Just needed to talk to you someone. Had a great day diet wise yesterday. Wore a bright red suit to work. I bought this suit last autumn hoping to get into it and when I tried it on I knew that as soon as I sat down all the seams...
Hi guys I have had a planned meal out and two pieces of chicken during my two and a half weeks on CD. What I have chosen to do this time around is not beat myself up over it. I have started to look at the triggers and just accept that my head and perhpas my body needed them. However I have got...
Shelleybelley don't beat yourself up. I had to go out for a meal during my second week and I managed that well. I was struggling with the shakes this week and succomb to a piece of chicken on Monday. I chose not to repeat my usual pattern guilt, binge and break. I just accepted I needed it at...
:D Hi everyone sorry I have been a little absent the last couple of days. I've been getting back really late from work and falling asleep within five minutes of my head hitting the pillow.
Fraggle thanks for the advice and thanks everyone for the support. What a great group of people you are...
Hi everyone :D how are you all doing today. I managed to spend nearly an hour in the car with my hubby as he munched through a massive bag of popcorn and I controled myself. I also cooked Sunday lunch and again (with great difficulty) didn't to put any of it in my mouth:wave_cry:
I am really...
I find the shakes quite nice. Why not try them with ice and my CDC says the vanilla is nice hot with a spoonful of coffee. I really like the lactose free mushroom soup and I enjoy the porridge blended first. Give them all a go and see what suits you best. I am really trying to keep it varied...
For what it's worth I have thought long and hard about this journey I have embarked upon and do not see it as just a diet or indeed a quick fix. I am keen to lose the weight as quickly as possible, but more importantly I am keen to keep it off for good because I don't want to continue to harm...
SammyH I am on the fourth day of my second week. For what it's worth I started to drink a little more water. I cut down on my carbs and reduced my calorie intake as well. Whilst I am still going to the loo every 30 mins, I managed to avoid the headaches and extreme energy loss that others...
SimplyLucy well done and thank you for sharing this information. I hopefully start the bars next week. Which ones have you tried and what would you recommend?
Slimoncemore hang in there. My CDC gave me four packs a day for the first week. She advised me that it was better to have four and stay away from food. I think I had four on day three only and Iwas fine from there on in. So don't give up. You are well on the way to reaching your goal;)
I am thinking of starting up some mild aerobics and pilates after I have completed my second week, if only to help me manage the daily stresses of life. I do hope it doesn't slow down the weight loss too much:(
Forest 290 have you got a lot to loose? you have filled in your weight etc. I have five stone and as each day goes by I know I am closer to reaching that goal. Whilst it is tough being with solids so to speak, I feel surprisingly motivated and energised.
I too have teenage skin (oily, open...
Forest290 welcome to the thread and well done on starting the CD. I like vegetable soup, but I must say my favourites are the porridge and the shakes.
I must admit that I have struggled with the water especially the constant trips to the :sick0019: Keep uo with it. I have found that the water...
Mat congratulations on your weightloss. I am feeling very positive for us all. I am going to have a shake shotly. Possibly the strawberry or the vanilla. I must remember to buy some ice as my CDC says that they taste nicer.
How are you doing today?
Hi everyone I am now on day four of week 2 and feel quite positive. My colleague at work who has previously done CD said that if you get through the first two weeks you are more likely to stick it out until the end.
I've seen a lot of you talking about the shakes and soups. I have to say I am...
Hi everyone. I have been a little tough on myself since my meal on Thursday evening. I only had two sachets yesterday, although I have gone back onto three today. I am feeling quite positive and keep visualising the new improved me that I hope will emerge by this summer.
My skin is looking...
Dear aussieraquel you really haven't let anyone down. I have read that the TOTM can slow down weightloss due to the water retention. It's probably best not to weigh yourself until your next WI as my CDC has really urged me to avoid doing this. The scales are all different and our water levels...
Hi guys I've just got in as I went to a leaving meal for colleague who is retiring. I had a meal I'm afraid :eating:, although I had discussed and agreed it with my CDC last night. To avoid doing too much damage I got my PA to phone the restaurant in advance to ask the chef to prepare me a fish...
:D Hi guys how is everyone? I've just got back from my WI and I've lost 9lbs and 5.5inc and I am so pleased. I am just that little bit closer to my end goal. I was pleased with the loss, but even more excited with the inc loss:)
This has spurred me on to keep up with it over the coming week...
I'll let you guys no the news tomorrow evening, although I will be late. My appointment is at 8.30pm. take care everyone. Talk to you tomorrow evening.
Hi everyone I only got back from work an hour ago, it's been a very long day!:sigh: I have managed to drink my water, although I had to leave my meetings every fifteen minutes :o. I hope you all had a great day.
Tomorrow is my first WI and I am extremely nervous. I do hope I have a good loss...
If the weather clears up I will be at work tomorrow and won't get back until after 8pm. I have said the mission slimpossible is my favourite, but I very happy to go with whatever the majority vote is. I am going to have some more water and go to bed. Take care everyone and have a great day...
I am very happy with mission slimpossible as it is far better than anything I could come up with. I am quite happy to go with whatever the majority would like.
I think that fraggle has set a pretty high benchmark. I am not convinced I will be able to match her achievement but if I am close that will be good enough for me. At least it will be one step closer to my goal.
Hi guys I was being a little thick and posting in the wrong area. I am not as computer literate as I like to pretend. My first weigh in date is Wednesday evening and as my CDC is able to see me in the evenings on that night I wil probably stick to that night if possible. I work an hour and a...
jellytastic you have my full support for what its worth, but do take care. I was lucky as we have a number of doctors at my surgery and I didn't see my usual doctor. I saw a younger doctor from Poland who hadn't heard about CD before. However he took my blood pressure first and felt that as it...
jellytastic I did a lot of reading before signing up fpr the diet and a small percentage of mainly women can experiencing problems with their gallbladder. My CDC asked me to get my doctor's okay because of it. I goggled (vlcd + gallstones) for a bit more information and came across the...
Mat we are all here to give each other support. If someone as greedy as me could stick to it so far, you will. I have had quite a horrendous week for a number of reasons, and normally I would reach for the chocolate and buscuits although I have a wheat allergy. But each time I felt tempted I...
Lizzylocket I've bought a hand blender for the office and for work. A bit over the top I guess, but I don't want any excuses for falling off the wagon. Got a reasonably priced one in JL and will take the office one with me when I have to travel overnight etc. My CDC told me that just using the...
Well done:D That's really great. I have stuck to it 100% although I am struggling with the water a little. I have managed a minimum of 2.25 litres, but need frequent visits to the loo! I am hoping for good news when I get weighed on Wednesday evening. I might need to visit my CDC tomorrow as I...
I would be really grateful if a CDC could let me know how many grams of fat are contained in the SS 3. The reason for my question is that I have gallstones which on the whole give me very little problems (I have had them for over 14 yrs), and I read somewhere that as long as you have at least 7...
Without speaking out of turn could I suggest that Fraggle join both the Tread and the Team and Mum of 4 Boys join our thread. As far as i am aware the CD Team is for the purpose of seeing how much we lose as a team each week compared to the other 22 teams. However the real support will come from...
Hi Guys I really please join the thread and the team. I am looking forward to giving and receiving support from all of you. I am on day 5 today and having cooked lunch for my other half and my mother I have to admit that I was tempted to take a bite, but I just thought about the slim, healthy...
I forgot to ask about water consumption. I am managing to drink about 2.5 litres a day on average, but I am really struggling as I have to go to the loo every 30 minutes. This is proving extremely difficult as my journey to and from work tends to be about 1.5 hours each way! Does your bladder...
Hi everyone this is my first posting and I joined CD 5 days ago. I found day two and day four very difficult, but despite having to sit through a three course meal sipping on my shake I stuck to it. Very pleased! I'm looking forward to keeping on track with your support.
