Well done endgame, it's really hard to admit sometimes that it's got out of hand, but you shifted it once and you can do it again. I have lost weight before only to gain back what I lost and more before I got my head back on straight so don't beat yourself up. Good luck xxx

Well done for putting that out there orla, it can't have been easy. Also for keeping at it when you are feeling so low. That's incredible. You have so much focus and you're so close to target, you can't give up now. X Instead of looking at the scales from week to week, try considering your...

Well done sus_murf, I don't think I could have done that x Delighted with 2.5lb off at wi last night but it was a bit misleading as I didn't wi last week and I know I had at least 5lb on then. I have 3.5lb left to my lowest and I want it off next week. X

The best part of it is that it's not the runners that I'm worried about pointing and laughing at me. It's the lazy beasts whose biggest exercise involves reaching for another bag of crisps and the remote control...y'know, people like I used to be ;) x
  16. M

Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

I started outside on tuesday and only did it at the gym yesterday because I was already going for zumba. I do feel very self conscious outside tho cuz I'm still pretty big and being new to running, I feel a bit like everyone is pointing and laughing...I know that most likely no one cares tho

I've started that app more times than I can count :p I got as far as week 5 but my own treadmill is pants and the belt keeps slipping. Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

I've set myself some mini - goals. All very achievable if I behave, averaging 1 - 2lb a week. Hoping a time limit will stop me procrastinating ("it's ok, I'll get back on plan next week"). If I stick to it and achieve them, I should be less than a stone to target by the Monday before Christmas
  21. M

Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

Lol, grapes don't usually affect me at all and I've been windy since this afternoon so it's not that :p At least it's a loss..and a good one. Don't forget if you carry on with sp for another week to add a yoghurt in or an ee day or two x

How'd you get on R-E-D? MrsBrodie, I know what you mean, I use my heb for most of the bread I have but the problem is that once I start, I can't stop. I find my losses better (and cravings more manageable) if I stay away from it altogether x

I have been known to make my own sausages and I'm not entirely sure how the Iceland ones are syn free as I checked the % of pork and it was <90% which seemed odd as to be free, I've been told ham etc had to be at least 90 or 95% pork (can't remember which as I don't eat ham).

  108. M

Ireland- bia- a bit of craic!

You really shouldn't be concerned. 5.5lb over Christmas is nothing and as you say, you had a good time. You've proved you can shift the excess and you're determined. You have nothing to be concerned about. I have 4.5lb extra to shift too (on top of the rest to target) but I enjoyed myself and I...

    Iceland and slimming world

My personal opinion on why Iceland is pretty much that BECAUSE they have a smaller share of the market, they have less bargaining power with sw so sw can insist on more that asda, waitrose etc might scoff at. The frozen aspect and the low cost per item is also probably a large factor. Most...

Me too orla, I've taken to totally disregarding syns at the Chinese if I really am feeling the need for one and just picking what I want, rather than what is "low syn". Not to my knowledge, and nothing that I've come across as long as you followed extra easy before. There is a new beta for the online food diary that I quite like tho. It seems more user friendly and you can plan ahead although it doesn't yet support sp.

Well done fiddle girl, that's amazing and especially over Christmas. Manxy, I'm trying SP this week, hoping to have the 4.5lb I've gained since my lowest off in a week. My consultant reckons she lost that in the 3 days she tried it (christmas scuppered her plan to do it for a week).

So I'm baaaaack! Half a pound on for xmas week, making 4.5lb gained in December. That's pretty ok, I can lose that in no time. Really feeling positive about the new plan, I love the structure of having a limit to my carbs although I can see me getting really frustrated with not having spuds...

    SLOW COOKER RECIPES

Even if you use fresh pineapple, it's synned if you cook it. You could add 100 ml of unsweetened pineapple juice for 2 syns along with the gammon (so the flavour gets through the meat) then stir in fresh pineapple chunks at the end so it doesn't cook x

Sounds like an excellent plan. It took me about 6 months to decide on a final target (mainly because I knew I wouldn't be able to wrap my brain around attempting to lose 10st 4lb :p) am over halfway there tho and when I get to that target I'll reassess and see if I wanna go up or down from there x

Have been having a really good week up until today, when I didn't really intend to go off the rails (had 2 hifis for breakfast), but I had an engagement shoot with my wedding photographer and it started with a mocha in cafe Nero which turned into a mocha and a croissant (because it was so fresh...

Vahevala, you don't have to set a target just yet if you don't want to. You could just set an interim target (say take it a stone or whatever at a time) or if you want to try for 10st and when you get there, you want to go one way or another. The consultant can suggest from your bmi, but as we...

I got the chillis in tesco, they have a jar of crushed garlic and one of ginger too, so might stock up for my next delivery. Week is going ok (I think). Decided to finally ditch the scales to stop mid week mood swings and while it is really tough not knowing (I keep wondering if I'm...

Congratulations on your loss and award. He sounds like a total *beep* and you're probably better off without him but I can't imagine that's much comfort right now x Hope you enjoy your birthday in spite of him (my 30th was last week) and pay no heed to anyone who tries to rain on your parade. I got the xenical/orlistat (not sure if it's the same thing at a lower dose) prescribed a few years ago but they did absolutely nothing for me, apart from mortify me (ever run through your workplace because you absolutely HAD to find a bathroom 10 minutes ago? ) I think if you're on a low fat...

Hey Periwinkle and welcome. Good luck with your weightloss and as NewMe says, if you aren't hungry don't force yourself. Slimming world don't insist you have breakfast if you don't usually and I read something that suggests that there is no real evidence that overnight is long enough to...

Wow, it's been a while since I checked in, been feeling a bit blah this week, got a cough that's starting much like one I had 2 years ago that lasted about 3 months (not an exaggeration) that my doc blamed on my weight and developed into a chest infection that was completely overlooked because...
