    I always use: white cabbage red cabbage red onion carrots and then add either pear or apple I have added sultanas and walnuts in the past but I think you have to careful with these on the plan I usually slice all of this with a knife, but sometimes use the julienne blade on the food processor...

    Ooh interesting. Do you use the quark instead of the cottage cheese and mix the egg into it? My friend used smoked salmon to lie ramekins and that worked well too

    I've just made some pate using ASDA smoked peppered mackerel (there were 3 filliets - I haven't synned that yet) and 1 tub of Quark. didn't have any of the other ingredients in, but it's very tasty. I'll try horseradish and lemon juice in it next time. Thakyou for the inspiration!
