Sweet Pink's Journey from 'Tubby Tummy' to 'Yummy Mummy' & all the bits in between!!

Sweet pink - thanks so much for such a detailed reply. I've just read all the way through Kron's kb thread - it's inspirational. Somewhere at the back of my head is a bloke (yeah yeah - isn't there always) who I would like to see me and have his jaw drop when he sees me at how fit I am. At...

    Secret to shaping up

Kron - thanks so much for starting this thread and all the advice and inspiration on it - and Sweet Pink - for directing me here. I've just read the whole thing (Sunday morning just gone!) and have just ordered the kettleworx dvd set (although it seems it's not going to arrive until nearly next...

    GG: getting strong + hot

No Zumba at 6am - not in my home, anyway. Although there is a 7am class at the gym on Wednesdays - quietest class of the week (wonder why?? :D ) ... could be tempted to do that. Berries and yog (especially vanilla syn free) are lovely. Have 'ready to eat' nectarines as today's treat and...

Sweet Pink's Journey from 'Tubby Tummy' to 'Yummy Mummy' & all the bits in between!!

Just been reading a bit of your diary and am really impressed with the amount of exercise you've been doing. It seems, from a few diaries that I've read, that anyone losing decent amounts of weight and steadily is putting a lot of effort into exercise - far more than simply walking a bit more...

Nice to hear someone else doing it - have you been doing classes long? Does it seem to help with the weight loss? I don't have an xbox but had bought Gillian Michael's first level of the Shred via itunes - need some hand weights though, before I can do that. Perhaps 1kg?

Countdown to a fabulous confident ME !!!

How weird you should mention Canonbury Square! I photographed a bride outside one of the lovely houses there last week - their wedding reception was at The Canonbury and we walked from Islington Town Hall (in between rain showers). They are gorgeous places. Very cute avatar! Good luck...

Sod it! Had a Starbucks skimmed milk latte today and just found that skimmed milk (568ml - probably close to what I had) is 9 syns. Grrrrr. Thought I had been good. It's still within limits - haven't gone over syns, but annoying, to say the least. I thought fat free dairy was free.

    GG: getting strong + hot

Thanks Lottie. Went to Zumba this morning and it was really fun - and my goodness, don't you sweat! It was in the basketball part of the gym - a huge hall with about 60 women in it. The slightly weird bit was seeing guys pushing weights through the glass on either side of the hall, especially...

    GG: getting strong + hot

Am really chuffed - this is day two of being COMPLETELY on SW and went to the gym yesterday for a good hour or so burning calories. I've also drunk loads of liquids today. It seems to work best when there is nothing off plan around. And I probably need some more fruit tomorrow - have oranges...

Countdown to a fabulous confident ME !!!

Virtual wine - sure - it's just the real stuff that isn't around. White or red? :D Great to read about your going to a mother and baby group and glad you enjoyed it. Charming comments about the wrinkles! You know, sometimes I'd rather people said that stuff to my face though, rather than...

    OBG (Operation Bridal Gown!)

Here's another vote for one or two. Three (with lots of extra material) is the one I liked least - not because I didn't like it for itself, more that it adds more material than you need on your lovely figure. Number one is the most stunning. In anything strapless, you also need to make sure...

Countdown to a fabulous confident ME !!!

Sorry to hear about your husband's stepdad - now I guess you'll be extra busy with emotional support for him and perhaps some practical things as well. Good for you to say you're going to stick to SW - it's for you. If you can get through this without emotional eating, then you'll be better...

    Bye bye baby belly

Did you know that if you're thinking of having porridge oats with FF yog, you can mix them together + stick in the fridge overnight and you don't have to cook it? (Or is that what you're doing anyway?) Just thought that if you didn't know, it would save you a few minutes in a busy life, unless...

    august challenge anyone?

I made something similar with loads of vege and the bean salad, known as Dyna Rod soup because of it's *clearing out* properties. I like it - and know that it's a great way of getting SS vege - but because of its effectiveness in this direction, don't want to have too much in case I end up...

Your plan sounds like it's going really well. Well done for keeping going with your plan and exercise.

Countdown to a fabulous confident ME !!!

Hi D'lashes. Good for you joining Slimming World - sounds like it might be nice for you to be with a group of different people outside of your family and work, where you're able to be open and have a bit of a fresh start. Noticed "feel the fear and do it anyway" has been mentioned. I like that...

    GG: getting strong + hot

Small failure in the weight-loss department: I had in my diary to go to Zumba at the gym early today and ended up working until 2am so getting up before 6am wasn't going to happen. Will go tonight instead - and it was good to get a chunk of work done. Had yoghurt and blueberries with 28g of...

Where the bargains are at and anything else thats useful.

I bought one this week and had it as part of breakfast today - delicious. Also bought the 75p big bag of chopped leeks in Asda's frozen section this week and Hellman's Extra light for £2. Aldi had small watermelons for £1.25 (from memory). You can compare prices of the big four and find...

    GG: getting strong + hot

Have signed up for SW online this week and trying to get to grips mainly with the EE plan. After reading a sticky on here, the penny dropped about filling your plate with 1/3 superfree foods - before then I couldn't work out how anyone was going to lose anything more than the odd pound - so...

Hit a plateau - can you help me, please?

How dispiriting for you. I've just started SW because I'd been low carbing and got to a point where I wasn't losing and that had happened before with it - and if you go off piste with that, you're lost really - there's no flexibility. My trainer has recommended in the past not having carbs...
