15 stone to 14 stone support

Lost 1lb this week so down to 15st4 - hoping it won't be too much longer until the 14's now! I've had a terrible few weeks of staying the same so hopefully this week will give me the kick up the bum that I need to get going again!

    Tuesday Weighers

Well done! Lost a pound this week so I can finally say I've reached my 1.5 stone! Yay! Off to change my signature, and then it's on to my Club 10, hopefully next week...! Good luck everyone who's still to weigh in! :)

    Real nails vs Acrylic manicures

I used to have acrylic tips years ago but it ruined my nails & I never want anyone to use one of those electric files on my nails ever again! I get gel overlays on my natural nails done every three weeks - I pay £20 but it is really my only big treat - and then they're perfect & I never have to...

    Best Holiday You've Been On?

I went to Australia last year for a month & love it - my favourite country definitely. Sydney is my joint favourite city in the world I think (although I could take or leave Melbourne!). For a city break, New York is my fave - just planning my fourth trip there for this November / December...

    The Brits

For me I think Coldplay are one of those bands that the more I see them, the more I go off them! Liked them years ago, and then since then I've seen them at other festivals & was bored rigid this year when I saw them at Glastonbury. Pleased Ed Sheeran won a couple & agreed with Blur's...

15 stone to 14 stone support

Still here! Lost 1.5lbs this morning so now 15st 5 & a half! Was really hoping to get my 1.5stone sticker today which would have taken me down to 15st 4, but it didn't happen, so may be hanging around here a bit longer! :D

    Tuesday Weighers

1.5lbs off for me this week - thought it'd be a bit more to be honest as I've been very good all week good-wise, but my running plans have been severely hampered by the snow so maybe that didn't help! Hopefully I WILL finally get my 1.5 stone sticker next week... :)

    Mint muller countdown !!

I bought a week's worth yesterday in my local Sainsburys - I love them! Definitely my favourite flavour. They are a bit like eating melted mint choc chip ice cream, which is never a bad thing in my book.

15 stone to 14 stone support

Weighed in at 15st 7 today so exactly halfway through the 15s! Amazing considering it's been my birthday & I've eaten my own body weight in cake & not been able to go out running due to the snow! Hoping for 3lbs off this week to get me to my 1.5 stone sticker next Tuesday!

    Tuesday Weighers

Don't lose heart - easier said than done I know but I've had a couple of weeks like that - usually when I exercise more bizarrely & it does start shifting again soon! x I lost 1lb this week, so 18lbs in total - amazing considering the amount of crap I've eaten & drunk over the last 10 days...

    to meet or not!

When I first went to SW about 5 years ago, the consultant was great & the group was really friendly & I found it really helpful to stay & it didn't feel at all like a chore. Then I moved & when I returned to SW a few years later I just didn't warm to the consultant, and found her too...

This is going to turn into my favourite thread, I just know it! Going on personal recommendation, I would say Australia each time - my favourite place in the world! The Whitsundays are beautiful, Barrier Reef, Sydney... There's so much I haven't seen as well, so if I could get an unlimited...

    Any dog lovers out there?

I knew I shouldn't have read this thread! :) I am more broody for a dog than I think I will ever be for a baby, but as I currently live on my own & work full-time (and then some!) the time just isn't right for me to get one. All of your doggy-babies are gorgeous!

    Typical !!

Yes, and I am the worst culprit! :) I need to get out of the habit of weighing myself every morning as it only leads to disappointment! :) However today I was taken by surprise in a nice way as I'd STS each morning & then this morning finally showed a loss!

15 stone to 14 stone support

Lost 3lbs this week to take me to the mid-15's range - 15st 8! Happy with that - & feeling quite motivated for another couple of pounds off next week - once I get into the lower 15's I should achieve both my 1.5 stone & my club 10...! Hopefully mid-Feb?!

    Tuesday Weighers

    Things to do in Rome?

I LOVE Rome - one of my favourite cities in the world. As others have said, a tour of the Colosseum is well worth doing, and if you want to go in the Vatican (which I would recommend) & the Sistine Chapel, go really early. The Trevi fountain is lovely. The Pantheon is a pretty amazing...

    Any runners out there?

I'm doing the Olympic Park run at the end of March, which is 5 miles, so just started the Couch 2 10K. I did a couple of 10k's a few years back but haven't done much since due to a very annoying recurring back injury. I'm hoping once I've done the 5m run it'll inspire me to do a few more 10k's...

When did you start noticing the weight loss?

Probably at around the 12lbs mark, just that my jeans are now borderline-far-too-baggy & some of my other clothes seem to fit much better too. I am sure it won't be long until you start feeling & seeing the difference!

    Boat party what to wear?

Brilliant! :D I would probably wear flats too at this time of year in case the wind is a bit fresh out there, maybe a dress with a blazer if you're going to be in & out of the covered bit of the boat (I'm sure there's a proper name for that area, but can't conjure it up right now!)? I've...

    given up smoking

Me too! I've found week 2 a lot tougher than week 1 for some reason. I gave up when I was 25 for 5 years, then stupidly started again about 2 years ago. I'm finding it so much harder this time around! Keep going everyone, we're doing well! x
