    Statistics:
    Total Weight Loss: 0st8lb
    Weight to Lose: 1st11.2lb
    % Lost 5.03%

    Keytosis

    How long on average does it take to get into keytosis?? Also, how do you know once you are there?? One more.. what should I expect from now until then?

    Day 1 for me today, just trying to prep myself lol xx

    Week 1 = -7.4lb
    Week 2 = +1.6lb
    Week 3 = -2.2lb
    Week 4 =
    Week 5 =
    Week 6 =
    Lost so far = 8lbs

    It depends but a few days usually. Between now and then you will have carb withdrawal symptoms which feel a bit like flu. If you get a headache and it gets bad then take paracetamol.

    Once you're in ketosis you'll start feeling less hungry (or not hungry at all), full of energy and you're breath my be a bit stinky!

    To make the symptoms of both carb withdrawal and ketosis better drink plenty of water and take things easy for the first few days!

    The easiest way to know you're in ketosis though is to use ketostix!

    Be careful with gum as some of them have carbs in them as polyols. You can have breath sprays though!

    Can you get into ketosis on Step 2? I definitely came out of it when I moved up to step 2.

    Yes you can, you have to choose your food choices wisely though. So sticking to green veg and meat is the easiest way to do it. If you have the slightly carbier things like chick peas and lentils then you will pop out of ketosis. But it is definitely possible to get into ketosis and stay in it!

    It also depends on your body's tendency to get in and also it's tendency to pop out of ketosis. I take a while to get in but once there it's harder to pop out!
