There is a woman I will bless with a child less than perfect
She doesn`t realise it yet, But she is to be envied
She will never take for granted a spoken word
She will never consider a step ordinary
When her child says "Momma" for the first time
She will be present at a miracle & know it

How has it been going SacredSilence? Very interested in this thread after 3 c-sections with 10lb+ babies and only 5'2". I've lost 42lb now and still a long way to go but my overhang or mummy's apron is getting bigger!
How has RC been working for you? Any word from the GP?
Would love an update.
Interested here too. I've lost an overall 5st since christmas, but 6 st off my largest weight. I am due for a hernia repair in 3 weeks time and my pre op is on monday. I'm gonna ask about redundant skin removal but my surgeon is a general surgeon not a plastic surgeon. She also sprcialises in breast surgery so i don't rate my chances. But i am thinking of asking if she can't do it, could she refer me to someone who could maybe? :-/ might have to start my owm thread methinks

SS - I saw you on another thread earlier and I was admiring your photos. I hope you are now at goal and have your appeal sorted for your TT.
I too am going for a TT when I lose all my weight, I know I will need one. I am not sure about asking my GP yet, we will see.
I think it's got harder to get a TT on the NHS in recent years - there was a lot of talk of people "abusing" the system by getting TTs when they didn't really need them, but unfortunately that's had knock on effects for those who do!
Like most NHS services, it tends to be a bit of a postcode lottery. I heard there was a better time of the year to apply for funding - near the end of the financial year when they are trying to spend up budgets - has anyone else heard this?
Week 1: 7.2lbs | Week 2: 6lbs | Week 3: 5lbs (1st4lbs gone forever!)

Week 7: 3.6lbs | Week 8: 2.4lbs | Week 9: 4lbs
Week 10: 7lbs (3st4lbs melted away!) | Week 11: 2lbs | Week 12: 2lbs
Week 13: 4lbs | Week 14: 2lbs (4st defeated!) | Week 15: 3lbs
Week 16: 2lbs | Week 17: 2lbs | Week 18: 1lb
Week 19: 3lbs | Week 20: 1lb | Week 21: 1.4lbs (5 stone down!)

I last mentioned it to my doc in may just nieavly (sp?) asking what I could do! I told her I was about to start having personal training so we both agreed see how that goes and she could put me forward for a TT! I can only probably pinch an inch and you can barely see it if I put my big pants on under my LBD ;-) crazy how docs differ! I'm going back and will push it!! I have excess skin on my arms too :-( x

I was approved for a fleur de lys tummy tuck on the NHS last March, I was an "exception" and put on said list (which is really just so they don't have to do you within the 18 weeks guidelines)
It looks like my TT is being done this March, phoning Friday for confirmation. I was approved even though my BMI was not 25, and even now, its actually higher than last year - oops! I shall be dieting between now and March, and may go back to the cambridge diet.
My apron is quite bad, I'm 24, 1 child. A lot to do with genetics sadly.
My belly is gonna be in a book *beams* lol.....

actually I think you look pretty amazing in that bowling photo and reading all the foregoing, you are an inspiration. Good luck with your TT appeal, you definitely deserve it. After two sections my tummy looks like it has a zipper! lol so Im with you on this. I know the NHS is strained but it should be looked at as each individual case is different. There is not just the physical but phsychological affect this has which should be taken into consideration. Yes, I think it is a case of location lottery...and also whether you have an empathetic GP. Thinking of changing mine...he certainly wasnt helpful when I wanted to do lighter life, nor his staff, so doubt he would agree to refer me for a TT. Let us know how you get on, my fingers are well and truly crossed for you. You have done so well and gud on ya!
