Hi Everyone,

I'm Jade! Been reading through these forums for a long time now and I thought I would get involved. I've been 'Chubby' since i was about 17. After trying many crash/fad diets i realized its time to be realistic about weight loss. Its not as easy as starving yourself for 7 days loosing 8 pounds and thinking wow I'll buy a takeaway now and it will be fine, and then 3 days later that 8lbs is back on lol. This is what I've been doing for literally the last 4 years.
My mum lost 4 stone last year on slimming world and after waking up on monday morning feeling fat and miserable I thought it was about time I got into this diet too. I went to tescos on monday morning and spent £50 on yummy food :)
its now wednesday, i feel great! not hungry like most of my other diets. my mum has given me all her old books so for now i am doing this from home and not going to any classes. and i also went to the gym yesturday for the first time since we where forced to do P.E. at school haha!
So yes... i would like to loose 3 stone this year and hopefully my first stone by May this year as I am going on holiday.
My starting weight is 12st4lbs and I'm 5foot2! My target for the year is to loose 3 stone and be a lovely 9st4!!! :)

Week 1- Day 1. 07/01/2013 ... bit of both.

Monday- So everyone went back to work today yes? I know I was dreading it, I work in a pub so I new it was going to get busy everyone coming in for pub grub over dinner. It was quite nice actually watching all the overweight people of Leeds stuffing calories and fat in there mouth made me feel sick and I just wanted fruit ;)

Breakfast- Quorn sausage, loads of scrambled egg, frylight egg, mushrooms, beans and 1 slice of toast.

Lunch- Fruit Salad with muller yoghurt (orange, apple, banana, grapes) lovely!!!

Dinner- Low Fat chicken super noodles and a banana.

TBH I didnt really eat a lot, I woke up quite late and didnt really feel hungry all day after my breakfast :)
I didn't have any sins that day either.

Week 1- Day 2. 08/01/2013 ... red day.

So i woke up early and was starving but only had about 20 minutes before I had to set off for work. So I had 2 slices of toast and some scrambled eggs, YUM. The when I got to work i realized i havent made anything for me to eat for my dinner, so working at wetherspoons i ordered a skinny chicken burger without the bun! AMAZING IDEA (if i do say myself)...

Breakfast- ^^^^
Lunch- chicken breast with 2 poached eggs and a huge side salad! (lots of water)
Dinner- slimming world sheppards pie with swede mash topping.
Snacks- Muller light and banana.

Week 1- Day 3. 09/01/2013 ... green day.

I woke up feeling really good today, 3 days in and i'm not ready to give up yet :)
I have just got back from an hour in the gym and again I haven't had all my syns today so hopefully at the end of the week I see a great weightloss.

Breakfast- 2 weetabix, banana and muller light
Lunch- Jacket potato with pasta n sauce
Tea- Low fat noodles with cheese triangle
Snacks- apple and grapes

I hope everyone else is feeling great and doing well.
How many people are exercising as well? Are they finding it easier to loose weight??

I saw your earlier post about meal idea's, there's an amazing thread on the recipes section http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/84682-post-your-food-pics-meal-ideas.html (I must warn you though, I only ever click on for a bit of inspiration, but end up spending hours going through all the photo's!! Lol)

Thank you! I have watched my mum for many years with slimming world so i don't feel I'm struggle yet, but I know that bad times may start occurring so thats why I thought I'd do my food diaries, I think its a great idea :)

I was just reading your earlier post about why you chose to join slimming world, and it's very similar to my own. (I'm 23, I also decided to join after my mum lost 4 stone with SW, were both target members now but we follow from home) Have you joined a group or are you following from home?

Aww i'm sure you'll do fine hun! I have to say, having a food diary definitely keeps you on track, especially when you have to face up to your syns;)! Haha xx
 
Yes im just doing it from home, i think this website is good enough support :) yes i will try and complete my food diary everyday so people can hopefully tell me if im doing anything wrong :)

That's what I love about Minimins, everyone's very supportive!

1 slice 800g wholemeal loaf would be your HxB. HxB = 60g Wholemeal bread, so 2 slices of 400g wholemeal loaf.
Usually 1 slice of a 800g loaf weighs about 48g, so some people will chop off the crusts/ends of another slice or they will weigh both slices and count the extra weight as syns.

You can have unlimited chicken as a free food on an ee or red day. If you are doing green though, you would have to have the chicken as your second hex b. Your book will tell you the amount you're allowed as a hex.

Week 1- Day 4. 10/01/2013 ... green day.

Feeling the pain of the gym today, but only 4 days in i feel a lot healthier, less bloated and some what 'thinner'. I have eaten so much today, its been AMAZING haha!

Breakfast- 1 toast, scrambled eggs, beans.
Lunch- Chicken and Carrot korma with lots of rice (see pic above)
Dinner- SW smash based pizza! topped with beans, mushrooms, sweetcorn and quorn (YUM)
Snacks- Banana and frozen muller light
