No longer Miss_Taken about losing weight

I'm not long home from my weigh in and just found out I lost 3.5lb this week (making a total of 1st 12.5lb off in total) and was awarded slimmer of the month. I figure now is as good a time as any to start keeping a food diary, since after a good week, I tend to "justify" extra syns to myself..."I was really good last week, I deserve a treat"...sound familiar anyone? I would post a picture for self shaming purposes but I've been a camera dodger (and cropper) since I was about 15, and I don't honestly know if I could hunt down an appropriate full length picture. If anyone wants to see one though, I'll have a look.
So here goes
Unless otherwise stated, I generally follow the extra easy plan

Breakfast was a whole meal pitta with chicken salad and 2 spoons of lighter than light mayo.

Lunch was couscous salad with peppers, onion, sweetcorn and lettuce on the side.

Dinner was extra lean sausages, pasta hoops, corn on the cob, salad onions and a little sweet chilli sauce.

Had quite a good day today, seems like planning out my meals for the entire week agrees with me! Got up nice and early and took the dog for a wee walk, only 1.5 miles but I want to try to do it at least 4 days a week and a long walk at the weekend. Feel shattered though, nothing to do with walking, I just feel sort of run down. Hope I'm not coming down with the cold :( I've also taken up knitting (again) to occupy my hands (and brain) in the evening so I don't get the urge to nibble.

Breakfast consisted of an omelette, 2 bacon rashers, lettuce, onion and scallion

Lunch was a chicken salad from a sandwich bar (no cheese or dressings)

Dinner was homemade stew (less than half a syn per portion) and 1 small whole meal roll.

Forgot to check in last night with my meals so here goes, even if it is a bit late.

Breakfast was scrambled egg with sweet chilli sauce (1.5 syns) and side salad

Lunch was leftover stew

Dinner was sweet potato shepherds pie with an enormous salad.

Got a little naughty though around lunch time and stopped for a sandwich but I counted the syns and I stayed within my allowance.

Another walk with the dog done too, do u think if your dog is a puller, they should count calories burned as much higher?

Hi Miss-taken
I know where you are coming fron regarding the treats. I have done that in the past and can feel myself doing that today as I had a good result on the scales yesterday.
But doing my best to stay focuced and within syns..

That's the main thing that I'm concentrating on, staying within my syns. I'd rather spend longer getting to target than feel like I'm deprived and be miserable. I'm enjoying slimming world, and I don't intend to go back to eating the way I used to.

Congrats on a good result on the scales, I can feel myself itching to weigh myself at home and see how I'm getting on this week so far.

Breakfast today was sweet chilli scrambled egg, 2 rashers of bacon, lettuce, salad onion and scallion.

Lunch was couscous salad (bit plain to be honest, but I'm refusing to take my purse to work from now on so no more munchies at work hopefully).

Dinner was lean pork and apple burgers, actifry chips, side salad, and mixed veg.

Had a couple of rocky road hifi light bars and a mullerlight to snack on

Yesterday was quite a good day, had my (now usual) sweet chilli scrambled egg, bacon and salad, lunch was a whole meal pitta with chicken salad and a muller light, and dinner was scotch eggs and chips. Had a hifi bar as a snack as well

Midweek check in required...oopsie!

Gone a little bit off the reservation so far this week, been using my he's for breakfast and then munching on Alpen lights as lunch. That'd all be ok, as I stick with a salad for lunch and free or very low syn dinners, but for some reason I been craving sausage rolls at lunch. Yesterday and Tuesday I gave in and bought one of the small hot food bar ones (to go with my salad:s). Then to top it off, I had a Chinese last night (and not a low syn choice), since I'd already played up.
Back to the drawing board, breakfast today was scrambled egg, no Alpens brought to work, lunch will be salad (from a shop that doesn't sell Alpens) and dinner was meant to be stroganoff but I forgot to leave it out to defrost so I'll probably make veg broth

Think my midweek intervention failed :s only 1 lb off tonight, this 2.5st award is beating my backside all over the place :p
On the other hand, apart from having other fingers, I have also put my back out and I still lost 1lb :D haven't been able to get much exercise over the weekend and have found it tough to be on my feet long enough to cook dinner.
Refocusing and getting my bum in gear this week and it'll be a different story next week!

Thanks jules, feeling like I was talking to myself for a while there :p not that its a hardship, I do that a lot ;)
I gotta say, I love the walkers baked crisps, but I been a bit of a hooligan lately, not been sticking to it all that well and had a few bags of fat crisps :(
Good luck with your own diet, do you have a food diary? Have you just started? How are you getting on? Motivation is the hardest part so I'm glad I can help. I feel so much better having lost the 2st already. I thought it'd take much longer to notice a difference, but my blood pressure is back to normal, my energy levels (when not on painkillers) are much higher and I'm catching myself craving salads and wanting to do exercise. I know I still have a long way to go, but I love slimming world. Pretty much any recipe is adaptable so I don't feel like I'm on a diet at all.
Got my weigh in tonight and we're having a taster night so it should be fun...wish me luck, if I have 1lb off, I'll be delighted, after not being able to cook most of the week :D

Weigh in was on Monday night and I'd lost 1lb again, so finally got my 2.5st award, after dithering for weeks.
Made a half syn cake yesterday and it was pretty good, although next time, more sweetener required. Had some of that for lunch today and might have a small piece for dessert later. Pulled pork for dinner, and so far, it's tasting pretty good...everyone knows you have to try some when you're cooking ;)

So maintained last Monday night, bit disappointed but not in the least surprised. My consultant was on a drive that there's no reason that we all can't have 5lb off for tomorrow (obviously except those close to target), so pretty much everyone decided to go for it. Didn't expect to get it all week, but still been trying hard and the sun hasn't hurt...too hot to eat heavy foods. So I had a sneaky wi this morning...if my scales aren't lying, I have almost 7lb off. That can't be right???

Tomorrow will tell the tale, maybe I sunburnt it away ;)

Weigh in was last night and I'm a happy bunny! 4lb off and 3 to go to 3st, so I'm aiming for that next week. Got my bronze body magic award and slimmer of the week. Came out of class feeling like I'd mugged my consultant for certificates :D

Missed my check in last week but I'd 2lb off which was a bit of a disappointment as 1 more would have gotten me my 3st, but I got it last night instead with 4.5lb off. If I can lose 3.5 this week, I'll have 3.5st off! Doesn't seem real tbh :D
There was a photo of me from April in a local paper this week and I almost cried when I saw it. It was awful. The hardest part to stomach was that at that point, I'd already lost almost 2st. It made me realise how truly bad I had gotten and still am. Thank god for my sw group tho who assure me that I honestly don't still look like that. Still a long way to go but I've been shamed into determination never to be in that position again.

So it's been a while since I posted and I've been sort of treading water since my last post here. My weight loss has continued, but very slowly, and I've been awful with staying on plan. I had my first gain in the middle of all this (4lb in one week!), which was horrible, and knocked me a bit. I've been slowly getting my mojo back but still been tough.
I figured out this evening that I owe it to myself (not to mention my weight loss during the first few months of this year) to get my backside back in gear and boost my weight loss again, so I'm going to start keeping my food diary on here again.
But here comes the good news...although I've been personally struggling a bit, apparently my wonderful slimming world class don't care, cuz they awarded me our class's Woman of the Year 2013. I have a sash and everything ;) yay me! Couldn't have managed without them and really didn't expect it.

First day on success express and I've got mixed feelings. Mainly because I'm not sure whether eggs count as super free or not and the website and book aren't much help, by mentioning them along with other super free foods as something it is ok to snack on, but not referring as to whether they count as part of the 2/3. For the purposes of today therefore, I'm going to assume they aren't super free unless someone can tell me differently and I'll just assume my quantities need work.

Breakfast
2 egg omelette filled with peppers and onions

Lunch
1 whole grain bread sandwich (HEB x 2) with chicken, lettuce, peppers, and cheese (HEA x 2)

Dinner
Sticky chicken (4 syns), small jacket potato and large salad with lettuce, peppers, and onion

Snacks
1 rocky road hifi bar (3 syns)
1 small pack of tic tacs (3.5 syns)

Total syns 10.5
Healthy Extras 4
Water 1.7l (so far this evening)
