This time, I'm going to do it.

I've done the Dukan a few times before, but to no avail. So this time I'm going to try and stick to a diet, and I'm going to go to meetings.

My first meeting is tonight, so I don't know what to expect really. I've already started though as og yesterday, using the free 7 day plan online... however I realise I need to speak to the guy at the meeting, because I'm not sure I get the Healthy Extra thing, or the superfood thing, so I'm not sure my plan for the week is going to work. But that's what meetings are for I guess?

Yesterday I had:

(I missed breakfast, whoops, I need to not do that)

Jacket Potato (2 small ones) with Beans (was going to do with Prawns Marie Rose but forgot to defrost them :( )

Slimming World Bolognese - Lean Beef Mince, Grated Carrot, Onion, Garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato passata, tomato puree and italian herbs. All cooked with frylight, served with penne pasta.

I made 500g of mince with this... I have loads left so going to freeze it and use it the rest of the week.

I also had 1x Alpen Light bar, 2x Bananas and a Mini Babybel light...

Today so far I've had
2x Alpen Light bars and I have 2x Bananas and a Mullerlight to eat in about half an hour. I'm upping my water intake too, this is one area I struggle with.

I have home made butternut squash soup for lunch (1 squash, 1 potato, 1 onion, garlic and 900ml veg stock. I've got about a fifth of it I'd say, it made a huge amount!)

And I was considering cottage pie for tea, but that'll be after the meeting at 7!

My first meeting went well, I think. Seems like a successful group, but I'll need to remember to ask more questions next time. I'm just nervous that I'm not going to lose that much in my first couple of weeks, which seemed expected. My goal however is just a pound a week until christmas - that's 21lb... so a stone and a half? (maths is not my stong point)

Yesterdays food
B - 1 packet of Oats So Simple (27g) made with 180ml semi-skimmed milk, topped with fat free greek yoghurt, raspberries and 1tsp honey (1 syn)

L - Butternut Squash Soup followed by an Orange and a Freddo (5 syns)

T - SW Cottage Pie - made with lean beef mince, onion, garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato passata, kale, topped with potato mashed with fat free fromage frais and grated reduced fat cheddar cheese. I put ALOT less cheese on than the recipe recommended (it said 160g - I may have put 40g on the whole thing, if that) so I'm estimating that my portion was 10g of RF cheddar, approx 2 syns (that's overestimating, because I ate less than a quarter of the pie!). I served it with spinach and some mixed veg (carrot, green beans and cauliflower) Didn't finish the plate, just ate til I was full so quite proud of that.

I need to drink more I think - I only drank about a litre of squash... I've been out today and bought sugar free strathmore sparkling flavoured water to try, my SW consultant was raving about Tuesday so I'm giving it a shot.

So I've been rubbish at up dating this week!

I've carried on with the cottage pie, only sometimes I wasn't eating it with veg. I have now finished it, and I finished my butternut squash soup, but then my motivation to make more soup wasn't there. I have now however bought ingredients for the 12 Super Speed Soup or whatever, so I'm going to give that a go!

Still haven't drank enough - bought the water, didn't drink it. I have drank a fair bit of pepsi max, but it's still not great for you!

HOWEVER WI today - 6lb off!!!! I nearly went into shock when I saw the scales, that was unexpected. Especially because today I had normal coleslaw and some crisps with my jacket potato... Treating myself to a chinese tonight, but only 5.5 syns!!

I also bought the Little Book of Soups and some Hi Fi bars - salted caramel and peanut heaven. So I'll be giving them a go and hopefully will get my 1/2 stone next week!

Well done!!!
Here to subscribe. :D I'm happy for you, such a good first week!

My tip with water is stick it where you mostly are (or loads of small bottles dotted around) and grab for that first. :)

I've been really bad with water this week and drank about 6 cans of diet coke a day and not as much water as normal.. haha.

Thanks guys!

The Sugarfree Strathmore Lemon and Lime flavour is amazing! That might change the water thing. But I'm going to buy a few bottles and put them in the freezer to take to work with me - my issue is when it gets warm it takes me so much longer to drink! If I could get a water cooler behind reception, that would be the solution to many of my issues haha

Hi Clover!

The recipe was actually on here somewhere but here it is:

"can mixed bean salad
can green lentils
2 cans chopped tomatoes
can baked beans
handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
large onion
4 medium carrots
2 parsnips
1 green 1 red and 1 yellow pepper
2 ham stock cubes
salt and pepper
mixed herbs
water to cover ingredients

chop and put all veg in pan and everything else cover and bring to boil simmer until soft

can be left chunky or blended"

I left out the handful of split lentils and the leeks because I didn't have any, and I used chicken stock too. It's actually pretty good - however watch out because all the beans mean... well I'm sure you can imagine. Little bit awkard!

Yesterday's Food:
B - Peanut Heaven Hi Fi Bar (HEB), Apple and Banana
L - Jacket Potato with beans and cheese (HEA) side salad and coleslaw (not a lot, but still. Going to say 3 syns) - I was at work and it was there and I was hungry! Will ask for it without next time.
T - Super Speed Soup, followed by a yoghurt and banana.

Was proud of myself because I've just had two friends move in with me for the month, and they both ordered chinese last night - but I stuck with it and had soup. Mainly because I'd had chinese the night before (Chicken in Black Bean Sauce, only 5.5 syns with boiled rice"and I didn't want to use my syns on takeaway two nights in a row!

And today so far:

B - Fruit Salad - Apple, Banana, Orange, Kiwi and Melon. Followed by a Salted Caramel HiFi Bar (HEB).
L - 2 Mini Babybel Light (HEA). Mug Shot.
T - Super Speed Soup.

I've had a really hungry day though. Like, a really hungry day, I think it's because I've been off work. Been trying to balance it out with liquid, but still hungry.

Going to the pub with some friends later - I know they have a SW friendly meal, because they do skinless chicken breast with jacket potato and peas... so if I get hungry I can have that? I'm scared of eating too much in one day. I will also stick to water and/or diet coke, or just have one vodka diet coke - this is only 2.5 syns I believe? My consultant was saying a double was 5 syns on Tuesday so I hope that's right....

Had the SW Friendly meal at the pub I was hungry! Grilled Chicken Breast, jacket potato (no butter) and peas... no Superfree but my breakfast was completely superfree so hope that balances it out?! Haha

Todays food:
B - 1 slice 800g wholemeal toast (HEB) with 2x Scrambled Egg, with a dash of lea and perrins, no milk. (Realised after I could've used milk as part of my HEA, but it was too late)
L - Breakfast was actually more of a brunch... so a banana and an apple?

I'm in work now, I have grapes to snack on, a Peanut Heaven Hi Fi bar if cravings get serious, and some Super Speed Soup for my break - so all good.

Stocked up on more Lemon and Lime Sugarfree Strathmore too so I'm happy haha

Clover I'm subscribing now! I also started a Weight Loss diary for general chat and whatnot :) http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-weight-loss-diary/344216-diary-carb-girl.html#post7459044
