Sophie's New York Slimdown!

Hi everyone,

After lurking around minis for a while I have finally decided to bite the bullet and start my own food diary! I have attended SW groups twice before but have also fallen off the wagon when I have been busy or had a lot of social events on that have dragged me off plan. As I have never really felt like I got much out of the groups I have rejoined SW this evening, but this time with a 12 week online subscription. I am hoping that as I have shelled out for 12 weeks of membership up front I will be more compelled to stick with the plan for the long term rather than giving up when things get busy.

I don't have a lot to lose in comparison to some but I am the heaviest I have ever been and half of my wardrobe won't zip up at the moment which is really getting me down. My main motivation is a trip to New York for my birthday in November which I am SO excited about. It is my favourite place in the world and I would really love to be boarding the plane at my goal weight of 8st 12lb. Thats 20lbs in 16 weeks which is 1 1/4 lbs a week which I hope will be doable.

Big shop is done and meals prepped for tomorrow, so all thats left now is to eat myself slim!!!

Morning diary!

First full day on plan today and thoroughly looking forward to it. Food for today looks like this:

EXTRA EASY

(B): 60g wholemeal toast with marmite (hex b), banana

(L): pork egg fried rice (pork tenderloin, eggs, brown rice, peppers, carrots, spring onions, chilli, peas, soy sauce)

(D): chicken and bacon risotto (chicken, lean bacon, peppers, onions, peas, arborio rice, stock, parmesan (hex a))

(S): Hartley's 10 cal jelly (1/2 syn), cheese curls x 2 (6 syns), celery, carrots, tangerines

Total = 6.5 syns

Yum, can't wait!

Morning! Gorgeous sunny day here today, can't wait to finish for the weekend :) Plan for today looks like this:

(B): 60g wholemeal toast with marmite (hex b), banana

(L): pork egg fried rice (pork tenderloin, eggs, brown rice, peppers, carrots, spring onions, chilli, peas, soy sauce)

(D): malaysian red pepper and chicken curry (with red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, spring onions) and SW chips

(S): cheese curls (3 syns), tangerines, small latte (hex a), maybe some choccie whilst its Friday :) Happy Friday everyone!

Total - 3 syns

The pork fried rice sounds yum. Might have to give something like that a go myself next week!

Oh wow what date are you going? I love it so much and am determined to be slim for our trip this year :) (although that might not last very long once I get my hands on those delicious burgers! Mmmmm)

I'm going to California for two weeks first, but fly to NYC from LA on 12th October. I can't wait! Looking forward to having a completely different trip where I've done all the big stuff - although I think it might end up quite a good trip haha
