newbie who needs all the help she can get

hi all I am new to all this was at ww a few times but seem to have lost the motivation.I am doing sw from home with a photocopied extra easy book .I have stopped smoking 17 weeks and the weight is piling on and so hard to come of .Ideally i would like to lose 1 1/2 stone to get down to 8 stone so thats my goal, i have a 40th birthday party in October and I want to be able to get into a nice dress for that.If I am doing anything wrong I hope that someone will tell me I am not to sure about the syns so if I am not using them right please let me know.

my food diary for monday 2nd july

Breakfast 2 smll boiled eggs
2 slices of ww toast (hexB)
tea with milk (hexA)
am snack 12 seedless grapes
Lunch superspeed soup
pm snack 12 tic tacs (1syn)
Dinner roast chicken breast ,peas,carrots, brocolli and mashed butternut squash




my HExA milk
HExB bread
SYNS 1 used


Tuesday 3rd July ......so far

Breakfast mullerlight yoghurt and large bowl strawberries tea
am snack banana tea milk (hexA)
Lunch large bowl superspeed soup
pm snack slice melon
dinner chicken breast,mixed salad leaves tomatoes ,peppers,onion,cucumber 1 tablespoon red fat salad cream (1.5 syns)2 ryvita (hexB)
ww starwberry mouse ( this has 87cals so I reckon 4.5 syns)

well guys hope everyone is well have been feeling very hungry today for some reason but have managed to resist temptation and stick to plan.here is my food diary for today

Breakfast mullerlight and big bowl strawberries
am snack cup of tea 1 sugar free rich tea ( 1syn)
lunch superspeed soup
pm snack banana
dinner turkey bolongese with wholewheat pasta(extra tomatoes onion and peppers)
snack ww choc mousse (4syns)

am trying to stick to 1200 calories a day for two weeks to fast track so i'm following a 2wk plan of rosemary conleys ,just adapting it to suit sw.....I do hope it works .After my breakfast this morning I felt so bloated and swollen ifanyone knows how to get rid of this please let me know.

oops syn alert!!!!! I had 3 vodka soda water n dash of lime so I think that is 7.5 syns making my weekly total 19.5 syns used

All sounds good hon, just make sure you have your 1/3rd superfree with each meal if you're following EE. I think so far your diary looks fab. :)

Good luck with your goal!!

I am aiming for my friends 40th now which is actually in about 2 weeks time! lol I'd best get my a*se in gear! lol
 
Hi hun, I found your diary :) Thanks for commenting on mine!

Looks like you are having a cracking start - your diary looks great to me! On SW there really is no need to limit your calorie intake though, it's not a low calorie diet, so it doesn't work that way. I'd say as long as you're having your 1/3 SuperFree with each meal, and making sure you're eating enough, you'll be fine!

Which day do you weigh in? Will be interesting to see how you get on :D Good luck! x
 
hi Stevieand Muddy, and thanks for your comments ....I am doing sw from home and have no books except a photocopy of the EE book so I'm a bit slow in picking up the routine of it hence why I was doing 1200 cals to help me kick start. I have been eating things that i think are right and it wasn't until I was reading some of Pete's recipes that I finally caught grasp of the whole thing so hopefully from today I will be better.Thanks for being so helpful and I hope your having a fab day. P.s weigh in day is monday morn so fingers crossed for some kinda loss x

mornin peeps ..heres my food diary for yesterday 5th july

Breakfast baacon dry fried egg 2 slices ww toast loads of tomatoes (hexb) heated in the microwave until all soft n mushy yum! cup of tea (hex a)
am snack bowl of strawberries
Lunch superspeed soup
pm snack fet free greek style yoghurt
dinner baked salmon fillet with level teaspoon pesto (2 syns)
broccoli,butternut and green beans
ww chocolate mousse (4syns)



total syns used 6
week total 25.5

all in all I had a good day and hope you all did too......I just have a quick question ....superfree foods I have a list but it is all veggies on it are there any other superfree foods I can use and is the a list somewhere here on minimins as I don't have the books ...if you can help I would be very grateful ...thanks x
 
Allow me to introduce 'Tough-love'. Its a thread I subscribed to in order to keep me on track - it's great as we all post when we are wavering and then help eachother out. it's also good for planning ahead for weekends away etc - but don't expect tea and sympathy. We specialise in butt kickings in here - in a good way though. Have a look and see if you think Rod and the rest of us 'bassers' can help you out.

Although I think you look like you are doing well so far. Although - please note that vodka is 5 syns! Not sure about how many your mixer was but I usually have it with diet coke as that is free. So your 3 vodka drinks were at least 15 syns just for those drinks. Pimms is the least I think at 3 syns if you use diet lemonade (6 if you use full fat) so just be careful with that. Luckily you are hardly using any syns at all so this will still be within your weekly target.
 
thanks Sparty I 'm not havin a hard time at the mo but the thread sounds interesting and I will look it up ......as for the vodka I do have a copy of some syn values and mine says it 2.5 for 25ml or 4 syns for 35mls ...my mixer was soda water which is free and a squirt of fresh lime which I presume is free so all in, it was 2.5 syns that is unless i have the wrong info but it came from the food opt book that my friend photocopued for me. thanks hope your doing well x

Oh that's odd. I am doing it from home and use this forum to check things as I need to. I have always been told it is 5 syns - if not then great! Maybe someone can confirm?
 
yes if someone could confirm...I'm only goin by what it says in the food optimising book but maybe it's different for EE x

this is my diary for friday 6th july ....went slightly over my syns for the day but am still in line with the week so here goes...

1 teaspoon low low cheese spread with b.pepper (hexA)
tea with milk (hexA)
AM snack none
Lunch chicken and lean bacon grilled
lettuce,tomato, pepper,onion, cucumber
low cal honey mustard dressing (1syn)
PM snack few strawberries pk ww salt n vinegar crisps (4syns)
Dinner fake donor kebab (which was absolutely fab)
mixed salad leaves , onion, peppers, tomatoes
2 tblsp reduced fat salad cream (2syns)
1 pitta bread (7syns)
2 vodka soda n lime (5syns)

total syns today 19
total syns week 44.5/75

had a good day today despite going over on my syns ..was out for lunch with my Mum n Dad for his birthday and felt very good ordering the salad.
will hopefully have a better day tomorrow syn wise ..hope eveyone has a good weekend x
 
Hi everyone on this wet Sunday morning ...I hope you are all well ......had a good day yesterday managing not too nibble and my treadmill finally arrived so I had a long brisk walk which will hopefully have burned a few extra calories allowing me a wee extra glass of wine or two.... well here is my menu for yesterday 7th july

Breakfast 2 nimble wm toast (HexB) Ham lowlow cheese spread (HexA) tea (with rest of hexA)
AM snack strawberries
Lunch super speed soup
pm snack none
Dinner diet coke chicken, br rice salad leaves tomatoe peppers onion
3 glasses wine smllglassses 15syns

Diet coke chicken was delicious and I will defo be making it again although I was a little disappointed as the recipe said it would be nice and sticky whereas my wasn't...but very good all the same. tomorrow I am going to try another sw recipe not sure which one yet tho.

well guys foodall went a=to plan last night and I only had 2 glasses of wine !!!
got up this morning and for weigh in and guess what STS?????? Just dont understand it not 1 ounce did i lose ..feel really deflated and down about it,but I.m gonna keep goin this week and see what happens any suggestions as to y I didnt lose or what I am doing wrong please let me know . here is my menu for yesterday 9th july

thats it for today was on the treadmill for 15 mins fast pace and done 60 situps too so surely this will have an effect on a loss next week

oh nooo thats so disappointing isn't it...but keep at it, it might roll over and next wi you might have a big loss! Yup make sure you're eating enough and filling up on superfree as often as possible. Drink plenty too. xx

hi all sorry I have been awol for a few days we decided to go away in our caravan for a few days as the weather was quite nice so thats what we did.....as far a sticking to plan went I didn't do too bad took lots of yoghurts and fruit with me and made a pot of superspeed soup to take with as well .I had a few glasses of wine and 2 slices of white bread (in a toastie) and apart from these I stayed within my syns as well . we went for walks along the beach so all in all I think I didn't do too bad.
came home today and weighed in ...I lost 3lbs yipeeeee at last some loss to show for my efforts .I'm not going to list all the food I ate while away but will start fresh with todays menu later...hope you all had a fab weekend and are all keeping well....laters x
