Right, time to stop messing around! Need to find some motivation!!

Thursday 12th Sep 2013, Week 5, Day 4

Weight 8st 11.4lb

B: 1.5 scan bran, 1 small carrot, 1 egg, 1 dried apricot, 2 tblsp ff fomage frais, juice from 1/2 lemon, cinamon, ginger (made into a scan bran cake) with fromage frais & fruit.

Snacks: Melon & pineapple

L: homemade veggie cous cous

Went a bit downhill from here.... Quite a few drinks, stuck to spirits & diet mixers so not too bad. Until I go & do what I always do when drunk :( A whole pizza with wine, & chocolate. I'm hoping if I'm good & syn-free / low-syn for the rest of the week, I have enough time to make up for it by Wed weigh in.

Well, when I say homemade I mean I start off with plain cous cous. Usually cook in stock, some times add some fresh herbs (either basil, coriander, or rosemary). I then roast some veggies with garlic (I quite like butternut squash, red pepper, cherry toms, red onion, courgette (not necessarily all of these!). Sometimes add a dash of balsamic vienegar when I roast the veg. Then let it cool, stir into the cous cous, & refridgerate untill lunch the next day.

I also quite like adding chopped sundried tomatoes & olives to the cous cous, but obviously this would add some syns.

Sat 14th Sep 2013, Week 5, Day 6

So yest was a fast day. Didn't find too difficult as was feeling really full from the late night pizza / wine / chocolate binge. Then went to the cinema so that distracted me. Light supper when I got in, so ended up eating:

Courgette soup - 2 courgettes (75 kcal), 1/2 onion (20 kcl), stock (15 kcal), saffron
1 kiwi (45 kcal)
1 orange (65 kcal)

Total: 220 kcal, 0 syns

Sat 14th Sep: Food plan

Bruch: 2 fried eggs, reduced sugar / salt baked beans, 125g mushrooms, garlic, 1/2 onion cooked with 250g tomatoes & balsamic vinegar

Snacks: Orange, kiwi fruit, alpen light

Dinner: Trout baked with garlic, fennel, ginger & chilli with courgettes & mushrooms.

Thanks. I saw About Time, it was a really nice film.

My goal is 8st - I'm quite short so currently have a lot of fat around my tummy (& other places of course, but it's my tum I mainly want to reduce the size of!)

Fast day 3

Lean beef (250 kcal) slow cooked with oil (60 kcal, Hexb), 1 tomato (25 kcal), 1 onion (40 kcal), ginger, garlic & spices (c. 10 kcal), spinach (20 kcal)

Broccoli (30 kcal), green beans (30 kcal)

Small taste of the very super free bulgur & quinoa salad I made for next few lunches.

Monday 16th Sep 2013, Week 6, Day 1

Food plan for the day:

B: 1 orange, 2 kiwi fruit

L: Quinoa & bulgur salad (quinoa, bulgur wheat, cucumber, tomato, red pepper, yellow pepper, finely chopped red onion, courgette, spinach, coriander, lemon juice, chilli, salt & black pepper)

Snack: Homemade red pepper houmous with celery sticks

D: Zizzis. Chose fish stew as thought it would best option? Really pleased I resisted the pizzas & calzones which I loooove :)

Sadly willpower didn't last..... :( 4 cocktails followed by chocolate cake.... oops....

Tuesday 17th Sep, Week 6, Day 2

Fast Day 1

Homemade carrot soup (1 onion, garlic, 2 carrots, 1 chile, stock)

Total c. 200 kcal

Nervous for WI tomorrow, as not managed to weigh during the week so no idea what to expect. Really really hoping for a good loss as last week I had a massive gain :( Since last wed, I had a pretty awful night on wed & then last night was bad. But had zero / close to zero syns on every single other day & 3 fast days on Fri, Sun, & today that I properly stick to. So will be very upset if I lose less than 2lb.
 
Wed 18th Sep 2013. Week 6, Day 3

Weight: 8st 10.0lb

So 2.8lb off this week! Pretty happy with that :) (tho I guess it's only 1.4lb off in 2 weeks really due to my horrible gain last week.....)

B: HiFi light (hexB)

Snack: celebrations choc (2.5 syns)
L: Superfree bulgur & quinoa salad

D: Quorn cooked in an onion, garlic, carrot, & coriander sauce

Post WI snacks / treats: 3 HiFi light (green to today so 1 1/2 of my 2 HexB!), 3 Hotel Chocolat chocs (7.5-9 syns???), quavers (4.5 syns)

Total syns for the day: c. 15

Thursday 19th Sep, Week 6 Day 4

Weight: 8st 8.8lb

Not quite sure how that happened! Prob just a blip, but I'm not complaining, lol. Does mean I'm now aiming to see 8st8.0lb or under next Wed & will be disappointed if it doesn't happen, lol.

Mmmm, what to do about this week? Out for drinks tonight & tomorrow eves (prob also involving food) & then out all day Sat incl eats / drinks out. Will defo be as sensible as I can but does mean fast days this week will be tricky.... Unless I fasted today & stuck to diet coke tonight? But that would be so boring!!!! Oh well, will see how I feel....

UPDATE: Food for the day

Snack: 1 peach
Drinks: 2 gin with diet tonic (5 syns) - interspersed with diet tonic when I was buying so as not to face the peer pressure :)
Dinner: Aubergine & tomato bake (refuse to count syns, lol, as deliberately had the lowest calories thing on the menu - 450kcal :) - even tho the salad had dressing which I'm sure "technically" had at least a couple), large glass of red (8 syns)

So not exactly a fast day, but assuming I keep tomorrow & sat as moderate then can defo live with that :)

Total syns for the day: 13 (as, ahem, my meal out was totally syn-free, lol)

Friday 20th Aug 2013, Week 6, Day 5

Right, mission today is to keep things moderate. Out for drinks, but need to prevent that from turning into a binge on chocolate / crisps afterwards....

L: pret tuna salad (no dressing), pineapple
D: Approx. 1 bottle wine, bread with oil & vinegar, nachos, chicken burger, 2 shots creamy flavoured vodka, 2 huge slices choc toffee cheesecake, kfcpopcorn chicken, subway pepporoni pizza thing, then cooked some pasta when got home....

So weekend has been a complete write-off :( Sometimes wonder what's wrong with me :( Was feeling really sh*t yest about fridays binge. So the obvious thing to do was to have an even worse day!!!! Need a huge kick up the butt :(

B: Croissant with butter & jam
Snack: entire pack of choc biscuits, choc bar
L: Chicken burger with chips, onion rings & coleslaw, 1/2 bittle of wine
Afternoon snacks: 4 shortbread biscuits, 2 packs cheese & onion crisps, large bag doritos, 2 large glasses wine
D: Huge plate of chicken pasta, chocolate, 2 large & 1 medium glass of wine.

Today is a fast day. Then going to be super good Mon & Tues - prob tues will be a fast day & mon try & keep to 1,000-1,300 kcal. Will be devastated if I gain on Wed, tho guess it's what I deserve.... :(
