In 2011, I lost a spectacular 56 lbs in 6 months with Slimming World, going from 18 stone to 14 stone. During 2012, I fell off the wagon and put half of it back on (still better than putting it all back on), and so I am now restarting my weight loss journey, with the additional motivation that I will be getting married this year :love047:
I'll be doing Slimming World again, as it's been my most successful diet by far to date (WW was too complicated, food combining was doomed to failure because I couldn't imagine a life without shepherd's pie, gave up on Atkins after about 10 days because I felt terrible...). As I'm in Germany, I have to do it online without the motivation of a group, but this page has been a brilliant source of support in the past, and I'm sure it will be again. :grouphugg:
My eating habits during the day haven't actually changed all that much since I left SW last time, but my problem was and still is the evenings.. after my son is in bed, my habit was always to sit down with a cup of tea and a snack, which was all right as long it was within my syn range, and actually still all right as long as I was running 5 km three times a week, but then the snacks increased to bars of chocolate, and the exercise declined.... hey ho
Today is day 3 and I'm feeling rather rough - probably sugar detox. However, the chronic tummy pain and wind I get from fatty foods has disappeared, and my tum is already visibly flatter, so I can live with that.
