I'm in the southern US, and we rarely ever get snow, but we are getting some ice today. All of the surrounding schools are closed, and that hasn't happened in a very long time. We're not used to this kind of weather. LOL. Thank you for the welcome. I took the plunge and joined SW online...

I'm a Friday weigher and a new SW USA member, so I'll be back to report in a few days. Right now I just wanted to extend a huge congrats to everyone with their losses. :)

I've been a HUGE fan since the first episode, but Seasons 4 and 5 have been such a disappointment. :(

Being 300+ pounds, I'm limited in what exercise I can do at the moment, but I love using Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds DVD's. :)

I totally sympathize with you about emotional eating. From May 2010 to November 2011 my husband was diagnosed with skin cancer, our 18-year-old nephew passed away, my parents divorced, my husband was hospitalized with bacterial meningitis, my grandfather passed away, my husband had shoulder...

I'm glad to see this program allows for fruit because that's my favorite food group. :)

I was a member of WW several years ago and lost a lot of weight with the program, BUT the fees were outrageous, and when you have a strict budget like our family does, there's just no way to afford it. That's one of the main reasons I'm looking into joining SW USA online. It's much cheaper.

I've been debating over whether to join Slimming World USA online and this thread has been very helpful. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area that has meetings, so this is the only way I would be able to use it. I hope someday there will be meetings offered in my state. :)

Oh yes, I definitely have a "before" photo - several of them. :( I keep them hidden so deeply in my computer that no one can find them. Hopefully after I start losing weight I won't feel so ashamed to share them. :(
