Will I have to stop CD because of this diagnosis?

Oh, and I'd like to add (in light of the previous replies) that after my diagnosis of gallstones I ate nothing but green veg and plain boiled rice (i.e. zero fat) but I STILL got the attacks!

Will I have to stop CD because of this diagnosis?

I don't know about whether you can continue CD, but I can tell you that I had my gallbladder removed by laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) about 14 years ago and I haven't had so much as a twinge since. I was given no dietry restrictions either [maybe that wasn't such a good thing, eh? ;-) ]. Once...

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

Thanks everyone. I like the sound of caning the water early in the day, then having a break before the weigh-in, then caning it again after. I think I'll try that. p.s. 'Eleanor Abernathy' isn't my real name. It's the name of the 'Mad Cat Lady' from The Simpsons!

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

Thanks, Hannah. I did something similar to begin with - for the first week I asked my CDC not to tell me my weights. I asked her to in future just tell me how much I'd lost, but NOT what my weight was, as I didn't want to beat myself up over how much weight I'd put on before starting CD. But...

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

Blimey, I'm glad I found this forum! My CDC is going to measure my 'vitals' every four weeks, so I'm looking forward to that. Guess what...I can feel the beginnings of some cheekbones...

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

8lb heavier?? :-( I did have quite a bit to drink, but my weigh-ins are in the evening, so I can't cut down that much beforehand.

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

You're bloody lovely, you lot! :-) I am still wondering if it's something to do with the water changes I made.

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

Thanks everyone. The thing is, I've been reading posts by people who are as large as me, who have posted up their weekly losses, and it really does seem that the usual way it happens is large losses for the first month (between 8-11lb for 4 weeks) then it settles down to 3-4lb per week. I...

Disappointing weight loss in week 2. Wondering if it's the sparkling water

Hello again, another daft question for you all. In my first week I lost 12lb, which I was obviously thrilled with. I have noticed, by reading the other poster's stories, that you can usually expect to lose a lot each week for about 4 weeks until it settles down to around 3-4lb per week...

Do we really need our GP's 'permission'?

Fantastic! Thanks everybody. I feel much better about it now and will make an appointment, rather than just handing it in to the rather fearsome ladies who run the GP's reception.

Do we really need our GP's 'permission'?

Hello, I'm new. I am coming towards the end of my second week on the CD, doing the SS plan. Everything's going extremely well so far, and I wish I'd done this years ago. I lost 12lb in my first week and I feel fantastic - full of energy. My CDC wants me to give the 'Medical Record Form'...

How much water do I need to drink?

I'm on day 12 too! I am managing to get 4-5 litres of water down me IN ADDITION to the 'shake/soup water' and the water I use for my coffee, so in theory I am doing well. I keep reading that the 'extra' water (i.e. more than the minimum 2.5 litres) speeds up/makes for greater weight loss...
