Hi all, I'd like to join you all as well, I am officially starting on the 1st, as it seems a good date, but am already trying to eat a bit healthier. I struggle with exercise as I literally have no time in the day, if I do, I have my children and therefore struggle to get out even just for a...

Jen - I have tried those Tesco ones as well, tasted awful! I find it really hard to find ones that I like, as I am a bit fussy with cereal bars.

Does anyone suffer for 2 weigh ins because of Star Week? Just having a moan!

sorry to hear about your losses :( I take apple cider vinegar tablets a couple of days before mine start and for the first couple of days, it seems to keep the bloating under control most of the time. You can get them in most pharmacies or supermarkets and they are quite cheap. Some people...

    Joined the gym

If you really stick to it properly for at least a month or so, you will find that you actually become quite addicted to going, so make sure that you plan well and don't make any excuse not to go!! like me.... I used to be brilliant at going, but now that the OH is on shift work I have found...

Slimming world newbie and vegan - is it possible?

I do a lot of green days, and although I find it a bit slower than red days, I still go in the right direction. Having worked in a restaurant that served alot of vegan food, there is so much that you can eat, from corn based products to beans and pulses. You might have to look at the recipes...

    my partner...a little help please.

you said that he couldn't stop to heat something up, but you can buy those travel kettles and get an adapter to use it through the car lighter, so that might be an option, Comet and places like that should have something. You can also get cooler bags, and I think heat bags that you can also plug...

Quark - where is it SOLD??!!!

I can only get it from Tesco's, and it is a bit hidden, probably because all the containers in that section seem to be white!! I like to use if for cheesy sauces, in spinach and things like that, I really like it!

    Cycling around Cuba!!

that will be fantastic!! I was really nervous when I signed up for India, couldn't imagine training for it, let alone raise the money, but did get there in the end and it was one of the best things in my life. Just got the DVD that they produced of the India one, and have watched it twice...

    Cycling around Cuba!!

Thanks guys, Katie, it is amazing how you can raise the money, and they send you loads of ideas. I did some bag packing, with about 10 friends, and we raised about £500 in one afternoon, a few of those and you are away. You can also do a quiz night or something like that at the local pub, I...

    Has anyone used Tesco ediets?

I did try it, but I found it difficult with children, as I didn't want to have to make different foods for them. I sent them a message about it, and they were going to try and amend it to be more child friendly, not sure if they have done it though. This was about a year ago.

    Cycling around Cuba!!

I did the biggest challenge of my life in February, I cycled almost 400km through India for charity. :thinking2: I signed up for it as motivation for me losing weight while supporting a charity that is close to my heart as well as many of my friends. Although I didn't lose as much weight as...

    Another newbie starting SW

You do sound quite down on yourself, and I have been feeling a lot like that lately too, my OH has got a bit tired about it. I always wish for a big loss each week, but figure if it is going down it is going in the right direction, I have only lost 1/2 lb since I started, but haven't been...

    hello sw

hiya, yep I do the Coke zero thing, as I love my fizzy drinks. I don't do packed lunches, but things like pasta and couscous would be good items, together with loads of fruit. You can also do small containers of items to put on a big sandwich, which, depending on what you put on it, would go...

    hiya everyone, newbie to s/w

I have joined online, as I found the classes difficult to arrange around my kids and husband and the group I was going to wasn't very supportive. Green Tea

I really wanted to try it, but don't drink tea, of any kind, I prefer my cold drinks. I have instead bought the green tea tablets, which I hope will have the same healthy effects as the actual tea. Got them yesterday, so no idea if they are having any benefit, I heard that they are supposed to...

    im new to slimming world

Hey Emma, just added you as a contact. I find SW pretty good, as you don't really get hungry on it, I looked at quite a lot of different 'diets' and didn't fancy starving myself, or worrying about weighing everything that I ate. :chores016:

    Gone Nowhere!!

Hmmm, that does sound frustrating, have you been doing a food diary? Maybe you can look back on them and see what you have done differently. 2 & 1/2 stone in 3 weeks does sound like an awful lot though, so maybe your body is just settling into it, I wouldn't worry too much, it will keep going down.
  37. A

Cant believe what I just did.

Well done you!! I am jealous, I bought a choccie bar, and my other half (the great support that he is), said lets melt it and dip strawberries in it, was absolutely lovely, but boy did I feel guilty afterwards!

    Body Magic Awards

When I went to group they never really spoke about Body Magic, which I thought was pretty important. So I never recorded it, but I get out and about quite a lot so I wasn't too bothered. When you mentioned all those people losing half a stone, I know what you mean, I got slimmer of the week...

    healthy extra B querie

Thinking of swopping to Slimming World

I prefer SW to other diets, as I don't want to deprive myself of foods, and with kids and going out and about quite a bit, I would find it impossible to do anything else. When you stick to it properly (which I REALLY need to do), you can lose about 1-4lbs a week, depending on how much you have...

Hey Jack, I know what you mean about the coke, I love the stuff as well, but I have changed to Coke Zero, doesn't taste all that bad really! Really Fed Up, What Was The Point?

Wish, I wouldn't worry too much about the weight not going down quickly, it is about dress size and measurements. When I was younger I went to the gym for three months, and lost only 4kgs (about 9lbs), but I went down 2-3 dress sizes and felt great! Exercise turns fat to muscle, and muscle...
