Do not read on if you have a delicate constitution lol. We have an eggy/sulphur smell eminating round our house. It started in the integral garage and has worked its way thru the utility room kitchen bathroom ensuite. Had gas checked and boiler and negative. There is no blocked drains outside and have cleaned every drain inside - not a pretty job. The drains or toilet do not smell but it seems to be in the air, IT IS DRIVING US NUTS. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

We had this ages ago, turned out to be a blocked pipe about 12 feet from our property.

It was blocked and causin smells to back up into out house?

Just an update. Was having a shower this morning while dh was outside putting the lid back on the drain when he realised that he could hear the shower water underneath the house and no water was coming through to the drain so we now think that the pipe is not connected to the shower drain. It was a brand new house 8 yrs ago so hopefully it hasn't been leaking since then. Just waiting for a joiner friend to come and lift up the boards in the bathroom. Methinks our bank balance is about to be severely depleted,

we had something similar a afew years back. The plumber didn't charge too much but it was the damage we found later that cost!I hope its not too bad but at least you can stop further damage now!Good luck!

Joiner & plumber came round this afternoon- not good - drain not connected to shower and do not know how long for. Lots if water and it stinks. We live in a bungalow and therefore the water has travelled along the back of house. Have contacted insurance so will hear tomorrow. FIL thinks house may need to be fumigated if water has been lying for ages.:(

What a nightmare - poor you! x
