Try making these delicious-to-nibble cheese straws – great as a snack.

Ingredients

100 g Flour, Wheat, White, Plain
1 pinch Salt
1/2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper
50 g Margarine, Soft, Polyunsaturated
40 g Cheese, Parmesan, finely grated
1 individual Egg White, lightly beaten
1 spray(s) Cooking Spray, Calorie Controlled

Instructions
Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/200°C/400°F.
Put the flour, salt, cayenne pepper, margarine and parmesan cheese into a food processor and process for about 15 seconds, or until the mixture resembles crumbs.
Add the egg white and process again for another few seconds to make a stiff dough. If necessary, add a few drops of cold water. Gather the dough together and roll it out thinly on a lightly floured surface. Trim into two oblongs measuring 18cm x 7.5cm (7 x 3 inches). Lift onto a baking sheet sprayed with a little low fat cooking spray, then cut each oblong into 16 straws 7.5cm (3 inches) long. Separate them on the baking sheet as you cut.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until light golden brown. Cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
