I wouldn't use gravy if you want it chinese style.

It will probably be a mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce and a thickening agent like cornstarch. Then black pepper, you probably wont need any additional salt, as soy sauce is quite salty. I tend to use a mixture of both light and dark soy sauce.

The chinese tend to coat their meat in the cornstarch, rather than adding it to the sauce, then fry the meat in a wok, add the sauce and it will then automatically thicken.
I hope you will let us know how you get on. I do have a slight addition to chinese food. :)
♥ Chicken & Mushroom in Black Pepper Sauce ♥

2 chicken breasts
soy sauce
black peppercorns
salt & pepper
Onion Bisto (1 syn per tsp)

Method: I chopped up the chicken, mushrooms, onions, garlic & peppercorns. Put it all in the slow cooker then added the soy sauce, oxo, bisto gravy & salt & pepper. Cooked for 5 hours.

♥ Syn Free Egg Fried Rice ♥

1 Packet of boiled rice
2 eggs (beaten)
A handful of petit pois
Soy Sauce
Salt & Black pepper

Cook the rice according to the packet instructions. Once cooked allow to cool then remove from the bag.
Transfer the rice to a frying pan, add the beaten egg, petit pois & mix together, keep stirring to stop it from sticking to the pan.
Add the soy sauce & salt & pepper. Serve!

Looks yummy. Which plan is this for it to be syn free? (apart from the 1 syn in the sauce) is it on a green day?
Hi Hun
I had an EE day so could count all my chicken and the rice as free. You could do it on a Green day too and weigh out your healthy extra b of chicken for it.
Made this tonight, with the rice and chips, also got a small bag of prawn crackers from Asda, very, very nice
Thank you
