Hi all,
I am just looking for a little bit of help and advice with weight loss!

I have struggled with my weight for years and years and at the age of 19 was a healthy weight for my height etc but life got in the way and I had a 7 year terrible relationship with a bf and I just piled on the weight..... cut a long story short I tipped the scales at 17st 3 when I broke up with him at the age of 21 and I managed to lose 5 stone with weight watchers and maintained a quite sometime! Now I have managed to gain 3 stone back and I am 13st 11 it has been really upsetting and its really getting me down! I have gone back to WW and managed to lose 5ibs but I am just really struggling and I am really depressed about it

So I have looked into the cambridge diet and I have spoken to a consultant and she is coming to my house on Tuesday! I havent told anyone that I am going to be following the plan as I know when I mentioned it before I was told how drastic I was being and its not healthy etc! I just really want to get the weight off and on the way to being a slimmer person!

I just want to know how others are finding the cambridge diet? and how much have people lost? would you recommend the plan?
Sorry for the questions but I do not know what to expect

thank you
Claire

I have been following for 8 days now meeting my CDC for first weigh in today so will let you know how I do! First 3 days are hardest headaches feeling hungry and obviously missing real food but it gets a lot better and when you realise what shakes soups etc you enjoy it becomes a lot more bearable :) you will get a negative reaction to anyone you tell as I have found but stick with it and prove them wrong :) good luck xxx

Opinions are like arseholes. We've all got one. People mainly slate this diet but that's because they don't understand it. The diet is perfectly healthy and meets all of the regulations that it has to to be approved. But that won't make dealing with the people any easier. I personally think that this is the hardest part of being on cd so you'll probably find that you end up removing yourself from food situations for a while.

However the plan I couldn't recommend enough. The first week is hard, but once you're through that it's pretty plain sailing. I lost 3 stone in as many months. Unfortunately my losses slowed I got impatient and jumped ship. I maintained on sw and after months of it it really frustrated me and i ended up bingeing and putting stone on in four weeks at which point I came back to cd. I'm back now to where I was when I finished last time and will be seeing it through to goal this time. Good luck for tuesday xxz

Oh thank you both so much for replying it is much appreciated! Really nervous about starting next week but I really need to do this for me people are very negative about the plan but I am looking forward to joining and sorting my weight loss out once and for all!

Glad I have found this forum it looks like great support xxx

Hi
I echo what's been said previously.

I've said this before, this is the easiest and also the hardest diet i've ever done. It's easy when your head is in the right place, and you're committed - when you see the weight literally dropping off, the feeling is awesome. BUT, if you head is not in the right place -well - it's horrific. You feel as if you are hard-done by, sad, angry, and then you go and blow it all by cheating.

And that's the other thing. CD is unforgiving... you cannot cheat and expect to get away with it. You have got to be 100% - and when you are, the results are amazing.

I'm on SS+ (i did one week of SS - i've done this before, and I know that having an evening meal on SS+ is the best way for me to go). I'll be moving up to 810 in about 2/3 weeks.

Good luck!!

Lx
