new atkins dieter - fat vs protein

hi all, hoping you can help, ive been reading lots of motivational posts and im hoping to join you bunch of losers!!!

i have been using fatsecret to log my food etc and looking at the fat intake is shocking i guess im just after some reassurance... this is what its looking like

I do like a good table :)

Don't worry about the fat content - except to make sure that you get enough of it. Have you read the Atkins book? it explaisn the whole "eat fat to burn fat" thing :)
 
Your table just shows up as a load of gibberish on my phone but - Atkins is a high fat, moderate protein diet. Each day 65 percent of your calories roughly should come from fat, 30 percent from protein and 5 percent from carbs. I bet your fat intake is fine.
 
it seems very high, is it not?! my weight is very slow to come off even though i am really active, spin classes/zumba etc so i was trying to identify if there was something i was doing wrong!xx
 
I don't think you need to worry about your fat intake being too high. Fat doesn't make us fat, after all, it is carbs that do that. Make sure you are drinking enough water, that's very important.
