I'm a wee bit confused....if I want to follow SS do I need permission from my Doctor?

You do if your BMI is really high, they have to sign a form and take your blood pressure etc.

If you are on ANY medication or if your BMI is over 40, then you must have your docs signature on a medical form - if neither of these apply to you then you can start SS - but your CDC must then inform your doctor of your decision.
