Please help me shed this weight by Christmas!

#1
Hello everyone! My name is Bec and I'm an American gal who moved to the UK to marry a lovely Welshman. However, the past year of transition has encompassed so many obstacles and the availability of yummy (although guilt-ridden) foods is copious in these parts and as a result, I have lost my former svelte wedding body and cannot seem to get back to a regulated eating regime. I'm allergic to dairy so it really limits what food I can consume and I just can't see to find any eating plan that works. I'd really appreciate any input you could offer!!!!

Love, Becs

Hiya! Thanks for welcoming me! I was actually thinking about joining Slimming World, funnily enough, but I wasnt sure how effective and long-term the loss was as I've heard mixed reviews...but i'm desperate to get this weight off!

Can you tell me more about it?

slimming world is very versatile and very easy to adapt and fit in with day to day life.

I have done the plan before and lost over 9 stone, so it works. Why am I here again trying to lose AGAIN? because I went back to a very unhealthy eating lifestyle and ignored everything I'd learnt.

I think it's the same with any weight loss plan, you can lose weight on it, but then go back to your old eating habits and you end up at square one again.

The benefit of Slimming World is that there are so many free foods that even at the end of the day and you're still hungry there's always something you can eat even if you have no allowance/points/syns left.

It took me 11 and a bit month's to lose 9 stone. That's some going. But I stuck ridgedly to the SW plan and could quite easily lose between 2 and 4 pounds a week.

I could really kick myself for putting so much back on :(

Hi Bec

I do hope that you find the eating habit that you want to reduce and feel better about yourself.

We are all in the same boat and that is why everyone here is sooo lovely and helpful.

There are loads of things that you can eat on sw that isn't dairy so you would find it easy to follow.

Good luck with your weight loss journey :)
