Morning all, can anyone tell me the syns for Sainsbury's chilled humous? I have a little triple pack of Roasted Red Pepper, Roasted Vegetable, and Lemon + Coriander. The tubs are 60g each.

    Many thanks. :)

Are they the ordinary ones or reduced fat ones?

If they are the reduced fat ones i am not sure of the syn value but i am told by our consultant you can have one as a healthy extra. They are devine.

I'm pretty sure you can count any reduced fat houmous as 1 1/2 syns per teaspoon, that's what it says in my book anyway.

There's no roasted vegetable one listed. The BGTY red pepper houmous is 1 syn per level tbsp.

There are about 16g in a tablespoon so if it is the top ones you're looking at around 8 syns per 60g pot.

Ok just had a look and they are definitely not the reduced fat ones ... however I'll look out for those next time.

8 syns is quite a lot for such a little tub, but I had the red pepper one in a salad wrap and it was bloody gorgeous!!

Thanks for the help ladies. :)

Hang on, hang on ... I would say there's only about a tablespoon in EACH tub, they're tiny. It must be the whole triple pack that's 60g, which would make each tub 20g. Which is a lot more reasonable syn-wise.

I was wondering how such a little bit could be so many syns! :D
