Shreddies on Simple Start

    One of my colleagues at work is a WW leader (very handy ;) ) and she's pointed me in the direction of February's addition of the WW magazine and has introduced me to the idea of Simple Start (which is like Filling & Healthy when I did WW a while back) and SS seems great - I can't wait to get started.

    I just wondered though, the guide says "wholewheat cereal" e.g. Shredded wheat which, in my opinion, tastes like straw and I just cannot bring myself to eat it!! Can I have Shreddies/malted wheats instead? What other options of wholewheat cereal have I got? I like bran flakes :)

    Shredded Wheat, porridge or puffed wheat are allowed. Shreddies etc are not allowed because they contain too much sugar.

    You can have sainsbury's own bran flakes which are lovely. They taste the same as Kellogg's ( although kelloggs are not allowed). The Sainsburys ones have wholewheat in.
    I'm of the same opinion as you regarding shredded wheat lol!! X

    I just use the app and type in different cereals. This then shows the ones that are allowed as they have the green symbol. There's probably an easier way of finding out lol!! X

    I just use the app on my phone. I type in different cereals I like and this shows which ones are allowed as they have the green symbol next to them. I'm sure there's probably an easier way of finding out, lol! X
