    Hi there Nic86.
Welcome to this forum & SW, "does it work" you asked, yes it does! I have lost 7 stone on it, I took the slow route so lost it over a 2 year period but you can do it faster if you like.
With SW you learn to cook easy healthy meals, there are thousands of recipes on the SW site & this site, good luck!
    Pete

You don't have to eat loads of carbs - it's not compulsory! How long it takes varies from person to person, but as an example, it has taken me about 11 months to lose nearly five stone. SW is such a good plan because it is easily adaptable to the way you like to eat.

I echo the above. Be careful of wanting a quick fix too simply because it varies so much from person to person. I lost 5 at in a year and it's now taking ages to shift the last bit. This isn't a diet it's a way of life.

As said you don't need to eat tonnes of carbs, its about everything in moderation. But to be honest its unlikely to be the carbs that are people's downfall but rather their not taking the long term view and realising that it is going to take time and permanent changes to their lifestyle. I've seen too many people quit because they had a bad day, a bad week or didn't get the result they were wanting one week
