Hi all,

Just a small query, maybe I'm just being silly and not looking properly.

Today I had Tesco chilled ready to eat chicken - Chunky Barbecue. I cant find it online so have used the online calculator which showed it as 14.5 syns per serving (100gs which is what I had).

As the search didnt find this, it gave me the Mexican Fajita style one http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=266166344

The syns search shows this as 0.5 syns on EE. yet if I input the details of this chicken manually, it tells me it is 13.5 syns per serving (100g).

I think I must be using the calculator all wrong!

Did it take into account the amount of free food within the product?

100g is 145 cals, so if you are getting 13.5 syns you can't be taking account the free food value if you are on EE or red. Either will be high on green because you have to syn the chicken itself as well as the added extras, but on red or EE it will be the lower value.

Thanks all!!

I didnt take into account the free food - thank goodness as it means the chicken was only 1 syn instead of the 14.5 I thought I had!
