Syn Free Chips

    Hi,

    Can someone tell me please, for chips to be syn free on a Green day do you have to leave the skins on? xx

    No you dont Hun...I peel mine, cut them into chips put in microwave to soften them first then bung into a really hot oven covered in frylight and salt.
    You can leave the skins on if you want, or cut them thicker and make wedges with seasonings.

    Slimming World chips, as per the recipe, are free without the skins on a green day or on Extra Easy. You can embellish them with herbs and spices if you wish, and they remain free.

    It does no harm to leave the skins on if you want to though, it all adds a bit extra fibre and that's a good thing! :)

    You only need to leave the skin on a potato if you are having it as a Healthy Extra B on a red day.

    Because He B's are all about fibre and the skin on a potato is where most of the fibre is.
