Things to do over the festive period that don't involve food....

1) Go shopping in town
2) See the christmas lights
3) Go to a pub and have a steaming cup of coffee
4) Go skiing, toboggonning etc at indoor snow places (Snowdome at Tamworth is one, must be others)
5) As above, have a snowball fight
6) Go to London and go ice skating at the Natural History Museum/Somerset House...
7) Make Christmas Cards for everyone
8) Make presents for people
9) Wrap up really warm and go for a nice countryside walk on a silvery frosty morning
10) Decorate your house with fairy lights etc

Fighting Demons....
Nice thread Anna!!

1. Go and see family, say happy christmas, get lots of hugs!

2. Go and see friends, say happy christmas, get lots of hugs!

3. Give lots of presents and receive lots of presents!

4. Try on dresses for NYE and realise you need a size smaller!

5. Go dancing and come home to a "hot chocolate" in front of the fire!

6. Watch Christmas Movies with the kids (or in my case with your girlfriends!)

7. Go and get pampered!

The list could go on . . .

I actually wuite like the whole sitting in front of the fire with some friends just chilling out, watching like Ice Age or some crazy DVD like that with a hot chocolate and I don't have to give that up!

I too am planning Christmas DVDs (The Grinch is my fav:D). Here are some other of my suggestions

Ice Skating
Organized Christmas events such as walks, lights being turned on etc
Decorating the House
Card and decoration making!
Organizing too many things for toddlers groups (Yes I have taken on too much):mad:

Considering getting all dressed up in some kind of Christmas fancy dress and going out with friend CONSIDERING!! im turning into a bit of a home bird and the moment!

I am spending all my spare time doing cross stitch for some christmas presents.
We are planning a day out to winter wonderland at warwick castle.
It's also my daughters 9th birthday 1st week in january so I spend a fair bit or the festive season planning her birthday and party.
