Hi Britmum..............just being nosey, but why do you go over to the US to buy your food?
Also, looking at everyones lists, they are all very similar food items lol !
I live close to the US border. I don't go every week to the US to buy my food lol.
We do a shop there about once a month, mainly to stock up on foods you can't get in Canada and to pop to places like Trader Joes and Whole Foods which I love.
I'm so jealous Trader Joes and Wholefoods are my idea of heaven. Lol. Also jealous of your low syn chocolate pretzels.

(this is a typical list, not any week in particular)
Fruit & Veg:
Grapes & Nectarines (too expensive at the moment, but when they're in season)
Cauli & Broc
Mushrooms (eat loads of these, they feel like cheats veg because they're so quick and easy!)
Frozen chicken breasts
Low fat sausages
Cheap sausages (for OH)
Tinned Kidney beans
Alpen light bars/snacky stuff
Herbs and spices as and when they run out
Fry light (again as and when it runs out)
That's about all I can think of at the moment, but looking through that I can see why I'm not doing very well... where are my syns?!!

Here's our list from Morrisons today, we don't usually shop there but I was pleased! The meat especially was great value:
800g lean mince
Pork steaks (the above 3 were on 3 for £10!)
2 packs smoked bacon
Chicken breasts ( half price £3.20 for 5 big breasts!) BARGAIN!
4 cartons passata
8 pints semi skimmed milk
1 loaf bread
Net of 20g cathedral cheddar cheese (on offer £1!) thought this would be great for HEA portion
12 muller lights
2 fat free natural yoghurt
and with this little lot I plan to make:
*Beef Stroganoff- 4 portions
*Pork casserole with onion, peppers and tomatoes- 4 portions
*Paprika Chicken- 6 portions
*Big vat of bolognise mince- one 800g pack makes 8 portions for us!
*Chicken ramen- 2 portions
*Roast pork dinner-4 portions
*Home made coleslaw
*Cheese, onion and leek potato pie- 4 portions
And obviously anything else I can chuck together!!
This is the start of a very economical year for us so was really pleased at home many meals I will get out of all that!!
32 portions between the two of us is 16 meals! So that's great

I keep a wholemeal loaf in the freezer and if I reaaaaaaally need a slice of toast I whack a bit in the toaster straight from the freezer but I try not to. Also (luckily) DH and the kids like mild cheese whereas I like really strong cheddar so their rubber junk doesn't tempt me!
This week I am planning on cooking:
SW quiche with broccoli and bacon
Gammon and swede (me) gammon and SW chips (everyone else)
SW quiche with herbs, tuna and baked beans (beans in the mixture)
Stir fry veg with gammon (cold for lunch at work)
Started Exante TS 15th Feb - lost 1.5 stone in 4 weeks and have kept it off!
