Does anyone have a list please of the syn values of quorn products - in particular the ready to eat 'cooked' ranges - like chicken pieces, scotch eggs, sliced replacements for ham/beef etc, and the frozen packets of chicken pieces?
Quick chicken curry - cooked chicken in chunks, quark mixed with tikka masala paste, tomato, mix it all together and heat in microwave. Only syns are in the tikka paste - serve with rice, pasta, jacket tate etc

Hi Xtina66 - thanks for your message. Its a hard time of year isnt it to start again with Xmas on the way - but i just so want to try and loose a few pounds before Xmas - so that i can get into the right mindset!

Thanks for your encouragement. It does help. Not feeling great this morning - started my diet properly again on Monday and have my weigh in date (at home) each Friday morning - and ive gained 0.75 pounds. I know its a knock on effect from what i had last weekend before i started on Monday - but...
Ooh thanks for that Kathy, i need to get more confident with my slow cooker so might try a roast of somekind now. I was a bit like you the first few times ive used it - in case it dried out/ set of fire or something i would only put it on when i was in the house lol!
Oooh - i wish i had that willpower - as a child we were taught to clear our plates - so feel guilty if i leave food - so i just need to use smaller plates or make sure its all healthy foods!
i use quark for a creamy carbonara - spagetti, boiled, mix in grilled lean bacon chopped up, a beaten egg, quark, garlic paste, and a few syns with some parmesan on top!
How many syns is there is 35g of porridge with SS milk rather than water, dont think i could eat it just with water? - id have to put sweetner and a banana on too - but not sure of the syn difference?
Hi 'Toliveordiet' - can i ask when you do a roast or a chicken in the slow cooker - do you need to put any 'moisture/ water' in there too - or coat the joint with anything - or will it just cook like that on its own? Im not the best cook - and like slow cooker recipes with the least ingredients...

Ive done both SW and WW - and find SW much easier - and i hate to cook. Yes there are convenience foods on WW - but for me the SW attitude of healthy eating is a much better way of doing things for a 'life style change' rather than a quick fix diet.

Hi Baxk - well it started well - had the right mindset on all day - until later that evening when i was dashing around with too much to do - and ended up having a quick and easy tea (pitta and reduced fat houmous) as no time to cook. Just ate too many pitta bread thats all! :sigh:
i have this all the time with strawberries or raspberries - both are superspeed foods. Instead of cream - try the Muller Greek Yoghurt (only half a syn) - vanilla and coconut - lovely - add a little canderel for a sweeter taste
Just slipping back into old habits i suppose and need to get my 'diet head on' - cant afford to go to class so help from others on here would be great!
