    Why eat in secret?

    I think we eat in secret because we kid ourselves that if nobody sees it, it didn't happen. When I started the Food Philosophy, eating 'naughty' food in front of my husband was one of the hardest things for me. I can do it now...and it makes a difference!

    Self Awareness vs Self Acceptance

    Very true. You can accept what you see, warts and all, and still want to change aspects of it - I think where 'salf acceptance' and 'fat acceptance' differ is that the fat acceptance people celebrate their fat, which is fine - but we can't all reconcile ourselves to that extent of 'self love'...

    Absolutely! We have it drummed into us that being fat is akin to being some kind of serial killer, and size 0 id the way to go. It's hard to rebel against that and turn it around to think 'I'm the way I am BECAUSE I diet, and the only way to beat this is stop dieting and do something else'...
