    Comfort eating

Hi skinnymini, sorry to hear that - I think it's pretty natural to react like that when you get upsetting news though - I'd probably do the same. Maybe get a lot of WW choc/dessert stuff in to minimise the damage? I used to head straight for the WW frozen banoffee desserts, and maybe go for a...

the more i log the more i loose

I've tried a few things in the past: I had a charm bracelet and added a new charm each time I reached 7 lbs, but it got a bit expensive (which is both good and bad!). I also used to colour-in blocks on an Excel spreadsheet each time I lost, which I think was the best motivator for me (I'm a...

    Green tea?

Can't say for sure that it aids weightloss for me, but sipping green tea with jasmine makes me feel very calm and therefore maybe a bit happier? and more likely to do something positive? It's pretty fragrant aswell so you can just sit and breathe it in.

    struggling when alone :(

Try not to get too down about it - you'll do it! Your little one is obviously doing a good job distracting you when she's at home, can you distract yourself with something else when she's at nursery? Going for a walk, or gardening or organising some things? I'm working from home at the mo and...

Thanks so much for the link. Looking at the chart I'm starting to realise I wasn't as big as I'd thought when I was a "normal" weight.

    Drinking Water

Just the usual pint of Robinson's this morning, although all the tea drinking has probably cancelled that out by now  Don't seem to have much of an appetite today, just made myself a big bowl of fruit and fromage frais, and I can't eat it :( Oh well, points'll carry over thankfully...

    Preparing for WI

Not sure about how the changing groups thing works, although when I was going to classes I dropped out of one group and started afresh at another without paying a fee (but I think I got away with it by re-signing up as a new member). Well done on the 3.5lb loss, that's ace! :) I'd almost...

I was wondering that, as it'd be cheaper not to mention a lot lighter on the points without the almonds. Might give it a try.

    Favourite Meal ????

Hehe I've seen people doing this, I probably do it but don't realize. I was being really judgemental at the checkout in M&S yesterday - there I was feeling smug with all my fresh fruit and veg, and the old lady in front had a whole conveyor belt full of cream cakes and potatoes (well I suppose...

    How to recognise Ego States

I don't follow the Lighter Life program or know much about it, but that was really interesting to read. It sounds as if LL covers psychological issues aswell as dieting, which sounds excellent.

    Weight Watchers Recipes

Well, so far it's only the one recipe, but it's a start.. For anyone who's interested/who watches the programme Cook Yourself Thin, I have pointed up one of the recipes they used in last night's programme. Low-calorie Lemon And Almond Cake ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cooked by Gizzi in Fiona's...

    Favourite Meal ????

My favourite breakfast to have is always several hundred cups of tea :) followed by a pint of Robinson's Fruit & Barley Tropical flavour, then: a) a bowl of Nestle Oats & More Almond cereal with skimmed milk, and then if I'm still hungry, a couple of Laughing Cow light cheese triangles. Or, b)...

    How to look good naked...

I've only recently discovered this programme, but it's great :) I like the fact that it has people with real problems who need help (unlike some of the women that Trinny & Susannah used to makeover), and the fact that they're not afraid to show heavier women on the show, particularly during the...

Cook yourself thin. On now Channel 4

Just watched this programme after hearing all the hype about it. Have to say I'm not all that impressed. It's like a cooking fashion show with all the posing and headshots of the girls laughing and swinging their hair over all the food. I might sound harsh, but I think I'd probably enjoy this...

    Bread

Bread is my downfall (and cheese!), can't have either in the house (except for the WW bread, as that's technically cardboard) ;) I usually try not to have more than 4 or 5 slices of WW bread toasted per day. The WW Malted Danish seems to be slightly better than the WW White, and they do a...

    need filling up

Afternoon! :) I have to agree with the zero point jelly, just been to buy some little pots of Rowntree's Raspberry Low Sugar jelly today. It's not exactly very filling, but I think it's the physical process of sitting down eating something with a spoon that tricks my body into thinking it's...

    Drinking Water

0-point squash is a saviour! :) quite like the Apple & Pear Robinson's flavour aswell, although it can be a bit sweet. Tropical's definitely the winner in my book.

    Drinking Water

I drink Robinson's Fruit & Barley squash aswell, Tropical flavour (tastes like Solero's to me mmmmn) and zero points for 100ml serving. Have a pint in the morning after breakfast and it seems to do the trick to fill me up and tackle my old habit of just stuffing myself on cereal. I think if...

    Weight Watchers Online

Thanks guys :) I'm a newbie to Minimins but not to WWs - dropped out of meetings some time last year and started again properly on WW using the online plan in January. 40lbs down so far, so it must be working  I think I secretly enjoy the geekiness of managing everything on the PC, even...

Another Quorn-devotee! :D I could talk about Quorn until the cows (or fake-cows?) come home! :p My favourite Quorn-related foods are: - The Escalopes :eat: - Quorn Peppered Steaks (used to be Quorn Minted Lamb-style steaks, but they phased them out) - Quorn Peppered Beef-style slices...

    Weight Watchers Online

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I just saw an advert on WW's site this morning for the "Monthly Pass Membership" (I seem to miss out on a lot of the new things/schemes as I don't go to meetings). £17.95 per month sounds like a good deal if it includes meetings subs aswell. I'm not really sure...

    Quorn Escalopes

I think I'm hooked on Quorn Escalopes! Anyone else tried these? Hello :) I'm a newbie, so please accept my apologies if this has been covered before, but is anyone else (successfully) following Weight Watchers Online?
