2014 weight loss challenge

*sob* the job I really liked out of the two I interviewed for has said I wasn't successful as more qualified person was chosen...hurumph.

Sorry to hear that Catx

Hi all, hope everyone is well, cat, sorry about the job, hope you are ok? I can imagine how gutting it must be for you.im going through a phase of hating work at the minute and it sucks, so I definitely feel for you.

I've been following the thread but not posting, I don't feel I have much to contribute at the minute, I'm definitely feeling very down about things at the minute, I'm going through a bout of anxiety so I'm struggling with that and I'm just feeling like such a failure in the weight loss department, I can't get my head into anything at the minute for more than. A few hours, and then I cave and eat something I shouldn't. I never used to jump between plans like this so I don't know why I can't focus, and when I get bursts of positivity they seem to drift away because the weight loss is slow. I seem to be. Able to have a positive outlook but rubbish weightloss, or the other way round, I can't seem to do both. I've eaten pretty badly this week including a binge last night which has made me wake up with what feels like a horrific hangover, which is why I'm writing these ramblings now! I've done no exercise this week which wasn't like me because I love doing Pilates, but I was following a calendar that you were meant to do everyday and I think when I fell behind it made me feel even worse about myself.

eugh, such a negative nancy! I hate that. On the bright side it's the weekend :) hope everyone has nice plans, and sorry if I've not replied to individual posts. I love this thread so much, I swear it's like free therapy thanks to all you lovely ladies! :) I'm not really one for spilling my guts online but sometimes it just really helps

xx

Awww big hugs Autumn, I agree getting it out helps. Im a bit of a negative nora at the moment, but we will get our mojo back at some stage. Don't come off of here as it will then just work against us, reading others posts keeps the hope alive.
Take care mate. x

I struggle from anxiety sometimes and used to be really bad so I know the feelings you are having, many hugs. Tomorrow is a new day :)

Please can a 2lb weight loss this week be taken off for me :)

Oh lovely autumn don't apologise for ramblings! That's what we are all here for. To support each other. Sorry to hear you're struggling with anxiety. I know how it feels. I recently started on Prozac from the dr. I've been very very down I just can't cope with the chronic pain I'm in constantly. Don't know if it's helping as I'm still in a very black place. Really not getting on well with the OH just now either. Having a thoroughly shitty time. So you're not alone love. It's hard
Enough to diet let alone doing in when your hearts not in it. Don't be too hard on yourself. Why don't you give yourself the weekend off then get back on it with a clean slate mon. We are all here for you xx

Thanks bubble, I appreciate that-I think in real life I put on a face like everything's grand, except wi my other half, he gets the whole heap lol.but so etimes putting on an act is so draining so I just had to have a vent lol

Thank you Beckie, and well done on your weight loss!!

newme, sorry you are going through a crappy time too. I've been on Prozac before and they did help me, I've recently just started taking them again-how long have you been on them? I think it can take about six weeks for it to really kick in properly, but if it's been longer than that maybe go back to your gp? Sorry you are struggling with oh as well, do you think it's related to you feeling down? I know my worst times with oh were because I was in a really dark place, it was very touch and go for a while but we got there in the end. *hugs* to you cos I know what you are going through, apart from the chronic pain! that must be so difficult for you.

i don't even feel like eating crap this weekend so I will take each meal as it comes and see how it got on, I just know if I could stick it out a week and see a loss then I would feel motivated again! it's just lasting a week that's the problem lol

Sorry things aren't good with u - when I feel down - I put on a brave face to the outside world but not so kind to my oh - is that the way it is with u I wonder? Hope the prozac helps xx

:grouphugg:I usually wholeheartedly agree with all u say - but don't believe u shd stay away cos u think u can't contribute - ok of course if that's what u want to do - but I think u can tell from the responses that even negative posts airing our probs helps others to understand our own failings and that we're not as barmy as we sometimes feel!!

I think lots of us can relate to ur struggle to stay on plan right now - that's what brings us here and unites us - glad u've been at least reading the posts - they def help me - as u say it's free therapy from highly experienced specialists!!

I can also empathise with ur feelings on ur pilates programme - if I make one small slip - I can't just pass it off - I class it as total failure - we must be perfectionists eh? But life's not perfect so wonder why we can't accept that even 20% of being on track is better than nothing??

Take care of u - and try to carry on taking each meal at a time and try to draw a line under any binges!! xx

Happy to update for u - but do u mean u've lost a total of 2lbs - sorry for being so thick!!

Thank you for that post, it was very sweet. I think you are right, posting here really helps, I think not posting just because things are bad is similar to not weighing when you know you have gained weight, it's like a form of denial. Just posting yesterday made me feel better, and I ended up having a pretty good day, I ate around 1600 calories and made myself two really nice juices with my new juicer, and walked the dog for an hour, so I think that was quite good. Think il just have to take baby steps with the whole thing, I think if I compare my progress with others I feel worse, but everyone's journey is so individual and unique that it's pointless to compare, I need to just focus on my own journey, I will get there in the end hopefully!

Hope you have had a nice weekend :)

Hope you are feeling happier autumn :)

I've spent most of 2014 failin so know the feeling well.

Finally seem to have gotten a bit of control this week finally. TOTM and I lost 2.2lb's miracle!

Hey all. Sorry to hear that a few of you are having a hard time at the moment especially with anxiety. I have Bi-polar disorder and I have terrible trouble when it kicks in with anxiety where i end up feeling like nothing I do is worth waking up for so I know how awful it is when your having a down few days. Hopefully your all feeling a little bit better now.

I haven't been on for a few days due to work commitments but I'm back now. WI this morning gave me a 3lb loss and put me at 14st 9lb which means I have finally defeated the 14st 10lb barrier that I have been facing for 6 weeks.

Well done on the loss - isn't it great to break barriers!! My sister has bi-polar - know how tough that can bexx

Hi - good to hear u sounding more positive - I think taking baby steps is the best way to tackle any of our challenges but the way u've written it - it sounds a bit negative - hope I've read that wrong - bet I'm not the only one here who's set impossible weight loss targets for hols, parties etc in the past - really setting myself up to fail but after years of doing that and joining here - realise it's plain daft (for me that is) so trying hard to take baby steps too - hope u enjoy the rest of the wkend and have a positive week!
