Abi's weightloss diary - post jaw surgery

to give you an idea we have sold clothes, books, cd's, computer games, old mobile phones, unwanted gifts and even handbags!

Not sure what else I can suggest, I hear you on cutting back but then again that can put a strain on things if you already don't spend excessivly. not sure where you work, but is there any chance of overtime?

it just shows how determined you are that you are not just looking for an excuse to give up, you will find a way I am sure.

I mainly sell books on ebay, although I have sold the kids mobile phones when we've had free upgrades, that sort of thing. Good luck honey ;)

ooh you know what, you guys have inspired me. i've done it loads before but i've got some shoes that i'm going to sell on ebay, 2 pairs, sooner the better really since xmas is coming up and the postal service f*cks up. x

hey abz, i def agree with the others. I have sold loads on ebay. i mainly sell clothes, mine, adam's and sophie's ive sold a few odd things aswell. Make sure you have a good description and honest like if there is something wrong with the item your selling state that in the listing. take a good picture. Be sure to check out the postage rates.

Im in ireland but i just put postage for the uk because most of my buyers are from the uk which reminds me ive to go and pack 4items now to post :( i hate the packaging! sold a pair of adam's jeans the other day for 12pounds!

lol...do you lot reckon we've ever sold anything to each other or ebay and not known it? x

ha. it's more than likely!!

shoes could be a good one... i'm sure i must have some i want to get rid of... i'm not really a shoes person... and there must be clothes. i'll have a look. i put together a huge pile of stuff for a jumble sale my mate wanted to do and never got around to in a cupboard so i'll see if any of that is worth it... thing is, i'm sure most of the stuff i have will have been cheap and cheerful to begin with so surely nobody will spend lots on it!!

ah yes but the pennies make pounds and what you may think no one will want could sell like hot cakes. think of it like this, as you are losing weight do you want to spend loads of money as you go through the sizes? no! so if you can get them on Ebay cheap? I certainly will be!!LOL

you could always bag them up and sell them as a job lot - something like all tops a certain size from primark in a bag for a set price!?

ebay isnt really about making lots of money on one item, just getting bits back from things you've bought and no longer use.

not a shoe person, NOT A SHOE PERSON?! I have much to teach you, young Abz...

first lesson will be this saturday at the bullring, at ridiculous o' clock :p x

hee. well i'm a hat person. i LOVE hats.... i rarely wear them because i feel like a pillock but i'm getting better at it. i have some FABULOUS hats :D

but shoes? the odd pair of boots make me bounce but i'm not that fussed, ha.

my thing is bags! I have loads of them from all kinds of shops even vintage ones which my Nan used when she was in her twenties.

:D

i'm REALLY not a bag person, ha. my best mate persuaded me to buy a bright red one from next in the summer and it's the first one i've used that i can't sling around my neck in some way.. i'm amazed i haven't lost it...

haha me too flirty although hats generally don't suit me much. Abz there's a variety of cool hats at the brum german market. maybe i'll leave you there all day, should keep you busy for a while:p hahaaaa x

ha. there are at the leeds one too and i haven't been yet this year. i tend to eat all the time if i go there so i'm avoiding it. i almost lived there for a month last christmas!! ha.

abz xx

yeah, tis very difficult. i say we avoid the food at all costs on sat and instead give all our attention to the pretty stalls selling candles etc etc etc. the smell will probably kill us but at least we'll have each other. God i'm hungry... x

ha. me too. the sausage sandwiches are to die for, as is the mulled wine, the gingerbread, the stollen... in fact, most of the things there seem to revolve around food... i've never had one of the 'dinners' there which i would like to do this year... not sure when it leaves so probably won't be off cd by then...

see we have found another positive in Cambridge - save all that socialising money for bags/hats/shoes, I am going to try selling that idea to my OH......

:8855:

Yuk to stollen and mulled wine...yum to everything else. The waffles are amazing, crepes, chocolate covered fruit, chocolates. Not quite sure about roasted chestnuts though... :S

well it will save me a shedload of money!! i spend a fortune on things like chocolate dipped fruit and fried potatoes. god. it makes me cringe when i think on it now...
