Abi's weightloss diary - post jaw surgery

nope nope. we have no food in the house at all. we were going to go food shopping but are going to be away for the whole weekend. so... i have my special k though :) ha. and some apples and yoghurts and skips. so i should be ok for today. may pop to tesco for a sarnie but doubt i'll bother.

have i really not written in here for that long? i'm sure i've updated and lost bits... hmmm.

anyhoo. am thinking about low carbing for a wee bit. i think i need something different to kick me up the arse and have more stringent rules. also, if and when i can afford to go back onto cambridge it will certainly make things more easy transition wise. so i'm going to give it some thought whilst away this weekend... am off visiting some friends i haven't seen for a long time. the fact that i am nigh on a stone heavier than i was before christmas, although i have no way of knowing how accurate that is. i think my scales are in serious need of new batteries, seeing the numbers go up certainly isn't helping. so new batteries over the weekend and perhaps a new plan next week. not really sure we can afford to low carb really, but there are many cheap things we used to use like quorn mince and eggs etc. you can low carb on plenty of veg etc... so we'll wait and see how it goes...

Abz you will find a way. Lots of vege and eggs, chicken or meat? Yoghurts for breakie and fruit for snack all low carb darl.

Enjoy your weekend away and catching up with friends.

hey guys. well total turnaround in plans. talk about changing my mind a lot!! was a bit worried about low-carbing due to rising costs, so was wondering what to do. got to my mate's house on saturday only for her to hand me this HUGE pile of weight watchers books and recipes that she'd saved for me for about a year, ha. so that's made my mind up for me. i'm going to give that a go. i have food with me at work that currently adds up to 13 points and should do me for brekkie and lunch and i may add an apple or two to that. i get 23 points a day so that leaves me with plenty for this evening :D

wish me luck!!

had a great time visiting friends. will hopefully be able to pop and see them again soon. and driving there in our new car was bliss!! haven't been out in it in the daylight for more than 2 minutes before then :)

Cool, glad you enjoyed yourself and the car drove well!

Abz you have lost great with CD and it has spurred on some great motivation for you to keep at the weight loss as well as you wedding. There is nothing wrong with the slow and steady remind me of the date??

WW also teaches you about eating and what you can and can't have all the time. Good choice.

well that's what i thought bren. if i lose 2lbs a week until the middle of june, which is when my dress fitting should be, i will have lost 32lbs. of course nobody loses consistently, but i'm hoping i'll lose around that in that time. if i get to may and things aren't going down as fast as planned then i'll do some emergency cambridging i reckon. but hopefully this will work out well with the exercise and the points. i don't plan on using any of my extra exercise points either. also going to count up to 20 a day. i get 23 but you can almost guarantee unless everything i eat is out of a packet (unusual) then my calculations won't quite be accurate. i would ideally like to be 11 stone 7 by the time i get married, and if i lose 32lbs over the next few months i'll be around 12stone by mid-june. i can but hope... let's face it, the stress should help, ha.

It's a plan. I find once you set yourself these goals the best thing is to forget about them and just get on with it. If we convince ourselves we are on a diet we (I usual do) set ourselves up for failure or hardship.

I have just under 6 weeks to go and even though I planned for another 2 weeks of hard core and then refeed this may not happen so just going to stick with the plan until I go away and see what happens.

dammit. i posted and it has vanished... something along the lines of all we can do is all we can do. and if we do that then we are a success, regardless of whether our bodies react the way we want them to. all we can do is our best.

True and support and a stress free, no pressure approach should help.

Something is better than nothing hey!

thanks chaps. i'm sure i can. have had my special k so far. am thinking about eating my apple but not quite there yet and tucking in on a coffee. so not doing too badly since i've been at work for over 2 hours already. bought a ww ready meal for lunch as we had no food in and didn't want to risk pointing in the shop on the spot. so at least i know what lunch is doing!!

Hi Abz

good idea to try the WW, lots of people on here seem to do really well with it. Was thinking about it myself actually!

Have a good day honey,

Love

Yay good thinking about the WW :) You were getting disheartened last week and i think some rules and guide lines will really help you.

You're off to a great start too :)

We can do this!! I will be at yours in a month! wooo, I am so excited about seeing you!

Sounds like you had a fun weekend, and that was great timing of Anna with her WW stuff, hee.

really need to get into a size 16 soon. i found the size 16 troos i bought to fit me soon just after christmas. i had totally forgotten about them and just the thought of them depressed me. i must fit into them soon!!

abz xx

Well your on the way! Elle said you have both started today. What size are you now??

Are you also measuring?

am not measuring bren. i have a habit of squeezing the tape tighter to make me thinner... so am just going on snugness of clothes on that one.
