Hey everyone, i'm new to minimins & soon to be joining slimming world, hopefully Tuesday, any tips? I have heard its the best 'diet' out there, i 3.5 stone to lose & am hopefull sw is the way to do it x
 
Hi there. Welcome to Minimins and Slimming World too! I'm pretty new round here too. I can't recommend SW enough! I really love it! I am a student, so often eat out/buy lunch out with friends, and I cant imagine another weightloss plan that I would be able to socialise as freely as I do with SW, so from this point it's great for me. When I joined in August, I also had around 3.5 stone to lose. I have now lost 3 stone of that. Technically speaking, I should probably be at target now, but since my exams in January I have lost motivation a bit for various reasons, mainly comfort eating I think, and have kept losing and putting on the same few lbs. But I'm back on the straight and narrow I think! i think the best thing about SW is that even when you don't have a huge amount of weight to lose it seems to work! I think the best advice I can try to give you is - use all the syns you are allocated, try to use them for treats as opposed to just using them because you can i.e. on something you'll enjoy, remember to fill your plate with at least 1/3 Superfree and stay for Image Therapy ( In the two groups I've been a member of, it seems to be the ones that stay for IT that have the best losses week on week, might be to do with motivation) and try not to weigh yourself more than once a week. slimming world is THE best diet Ive ever done- fact! I actually find that not only does it allow you to lose weight, but it educates you! you start to learn about what foods are good and what isnt- its surprising at times. But that is how you stay slim for good!!!
I did it before and lost 3.5 stone, but foolishly, I didnt stay with my group, I left and soon forgot all those principles as circumstances in my life completely changed and bang! it crept back on!!!!. This time, Im determined to do it and KEEP IT OFF!!!! the fact you can continue to go as a target member for free is fab!!!!

Week 5-8 lost 7lb
Week 9-12 lost 1lb
Wk 13- 1lb on- oopsie
Wk 14- aiming for a big loss this week!!!
