Aldi Everyday Essentials Tomato & Herb Pasta Sauce

Did a quick search to see if anyone had asked this before but couldn't see anything, so apologies if this has already been asked..

Aldi Everyday Essentials Tomato & Herb Pasta Sauce

and it's a 440g jar.

Think it may be 2 syns for 1/3 jar because its 35 cals per 1/3, and I don't think there is a free food allowance as the top ingredient is tomato puree from concentrate..

As far as I know tomato puree is now syn free as long as it doesn't contain any oil so that would count as the free allowance I think.

I just tried it on the syns calculator with tomato as the free value and it says:

Free per package/portion on Extra Easy
Free per package/portion on Green
2 Syns per package/portion on Original



which would be a bit of a result!!

Pasta sauces don't qualify for free food allowance, so you can't select a free food. It will be a straight 1 syn for every 20 calories

Ah that's a shame.. Well at only 35 calories per 1/3 of a jar I can cope with using 2 syns on occasion! Thanks girls!
